Elipson Chroma 400
The Elipson Chroma 400 is a belt-driven manual turntable with an elegant design and available in lacquered paint or in satin walnut wood. This turntable is assembled in France by Elipson.
The Elipson Chroma 400 offers the features that have contributed to the success of Omega models such as the carbon OTT (Orbital Torsion Tonearm) arm or its digital engine rotation processing system.
It is distinguished by a new axis system for even more precise rotation, an improved drive motor with optimized damping, a graduated counterweight and the addition of a cue control lever for maximum comfort of use.

If you are looking for a modern turntable with an excellent value for money, perhaps one that not only spins discs but can also record digital files or transmit your favorite music via Bluetooth, then you might be interested in the new range of Elipson Chroma 400 turntables.
How to connect it This turntable comes in three versions, perfect for being connected to an integrated amplifier with pre-phono input (such as the TDAI-1120 or Cyrus One), to HiFi amplifiers without pre-phono (such as the Hegel H95), to set of active speakers both wired and wireless via Bluetooth (Kef LSX, Ruark MR1, Eltax Monitor 3 BT…)
Improved aesthetics. The whole new Elipson line has been designed and manufactured directly in France, thus guaranteeing a high standard of quality.
Elipson has made numerous improvements to the Chroma range over its predecessors to improve its aesthetics, ease of use and sound quality. The engineers of the French brand have designed a new axis system of the turntable to improve its stability and precision. Furthermore, a new concept of a quieter electronic motor has been introduced which reduces frame vibrations thanks to a damping system.
New Features
The new line of turntables features a manual lift of the arm which now also includes the graduation on the counterweight with the possibility of intervening mechanically for perfect adjustment. The Elipson Chroma 400 also comes with a sub-plate, in addition to the larger top plate, for better rotational stability.
New engine
The new engine and modified engine suspension represent more than four years of research and development to ensure optimal technical performance and sound quality. Additionally, the Elipson Chroma line has an additional turntable axis system for smoother listening and benefits from a new digital drive motor that allows for perfect rotational speed. Speed selection (33/45/78 rpm) is done automatically.
Ortofon OM-10E cartridge
The Elipson Chroma 400 turntable comes with the Ortofon OM-10E cartridge. This reference model from the famous Danish manufacturer is composed of a diamond with an elliptical profile which ensures excellent traceability of the groove of vinyl records.
The variations contained in the grooves are transcribed by a generator of MM (Moving Magnet) technology.
The frequency response of this cartridge is between 20 Hz and 25 kHz.
Channel separation is 22 dB (at 1 kHz). Both special Carbon versions mount the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge.
Guide to choosing a turntable
The Elipson Chrome 400 turntable is available in three different versions in white or black lacquered finish. It is also available in the special Carbon finish which differs not only in terms of aesthetics but also in the presence of an Ortofon 2M RED cartridge which qualifies it as the Top Di Gamma of the new Elipson turntables.
Elipson Chrome 400
The basic model, already complete with everything, is the Chrome 400. It can be connected to the PHONO input of the amplifier. If the amplifier does not have one, it requires an external Phono preamplifier.
Elipson Chrome 400 Riaa
The next step is the Chrome 400 Riaa model which equips a preamplifier module inside. It means that you can conveniently connect it to any AUX input thus making it very easy to connect to various devices.
The RIAA version features a RIAA (Phono Stage MM/MC High Quality) preamplifier able to equalise/amplify the output signal for line level connection. In a nutshell, with this option it is possible to directly connect your Chrome 400 Riaa directly to an AUX/LINE input of your audio amplifier. For years now, electronics have not provided, except in particular cases, the input dedicated to the turntable. Normally, connecting a turntable to your amplifier requires the purchase of a dedicated external preamplifier. In this case, Elipson solves the procedure by inserting the PHONO card inside the turntable in order to obtain the output level such that it can be connected to any LINE level input.
Elipson Chrome 400 Riaa Bluetooth
In addition to all the functions of the previous ones, the most advanced version also provides connectivity via Bluetooth AptX HD. Perfect for sending the vinyl signal to any modern device with a Bluetooth input. It is also equipped with a very light carbon arm with high rigidity.
