Description

C-Sub analog cable for HiFi and HT Subwoofers

The Chord C-Sub cable is perfect for connecting an active subwoofer to electronics, for example in Home Cinema systems. The cable is coaxial and has a male RCA termination at each end and is perfect for transferring both LFE signals in Home Theater applications and low frequencies in Stereo applications.

Like all Chord cables, C-Series C-Sub is also an original project and is designed to preserve the delicacy of the signal from the high levels of interference that now pervade modern homes. As a result, C-Sub produces and delivers a cleaner, more dynamic sound than any inexpensive cable.

The Chord C-Sub has all the relevant features:

Braided cable

Tinned copper conductor

Low resistance to ensure great performance even with long distances

Pluri-wrapped shield to increase flexibility and high frequency protection

Gold plating process which enhances signal transfer

Plastic overmoulding which strengthens and guarantees connection reliability

You can use C-Sub with Kef Kube8, or with Tangent Spectrum XSW8 or Planet Sub.

The importance of a Subwoofer cable

A subwoofer cable is very important as it must carry analog information, which is therefore extremely delicate and susceptible to high-frequency disturbances. For this reason, all Chord Subwoofer cables, including the affordable C-Sub, are heavily shielded.

Setting up your audio system involves some important decisions: choosing the cables to use to connect the speakers and the Sub to the amplifier is one of them. When connecting the subwoofer you can use random RCA cable or subwoofer cable. But is a subwoofer cable important or does it make a difference? Subwoofer cables are important as they improve sound quality through increased shielding. This eliminates or greatly reduces audio hum that would otherwise be produced. While some members of various audio forums might mention not noticing any difference in the sound quality achieved by using a subwoofer cable, it's important to note that the differences might be subtle, but they are there. Always.
