Chord Clearway Analog audio cable

The Chord Clearway Analogue audio cable is the most popular of the English brand. A good analog interconnection is always very important between every element of the audio system and this stereo cable, useful for connecting any type of source, is the real reference stone.

Chord Clearway Analogue cables are equipped with different terminations, therefore able to adapt to each HiFi component. The most common terminations are stereo with two RCA connectors on each side. These cables are technically called 2RCA-2RCA. With this type of cable typically a CD player can be connected to an amplifier for example – and the stereo signal will be carried in its entirety. Other terminations are from 3.5mm minijack to 2RCA, again for a stereo signal. Used for example to bring an analog signal to the Kef LSX2. There are also XLR connectors, in this case the cables are 2XLR-2XLR. To create Clearway Analogue, the technicians across the Channel started from the design of the Chord C-Series cables and updated and improved the materials to produce a superior cable with an exceptional quality-price ratio. OFC Copper and Patented Tuned Aray in Clearway Analogue

The conductors used in this analog cable are oxygen-free copper (OFC), but here the section is increased compared to the cheaper cables of the attack series. The outer insulation has been upgraded to “FEP” coding and the shield features a heavy double layer foil with back winding. Clearway Analogue is also fitted with silver Chord VEE 3 RCA connectors or other equally quality minijack or XLR connectors.

Chord XLR cables

As mentioned, the Chord Clearway interconnection uses the same ARAY technique and engineering used in the C-LINE line but carries more refined materials in the shielding for better transmission by keeping any interference away. The insulation has been updated compared to the previous version and integrates a double layer heavy foil shielding.

The unique design of the Clearway analog cable allows the configuration of the ARAY conductor to be adapted to also produce cables with high quality XLR terminations. In fact, the XLR version differs from RCA cables in keeping the ground separate, reducing interference and signal losses: in this way it is also possible to obtain cables of great lengths without having problems in the quality of the signal transmission. This produces an exceptionally neutral and musically transparent Clearway XLR cable – featuring silver-plated Neutrik XLR connectors. Standard lengths are 1m and 0.5m, other customized lengths are available upon request.
