Kef Q250C: beyond the limit of the central channel

Kef Q250c enriches the eighth generation of the successful Q Series by presenting itself as a smaller and more compact adaptation of the original Kef Q650c HiFi center channel. The compact Kef Q250c now offers greater versatility and promises to further improve the user experience thanks to ease of placement.

The impressive range of Kef Q series products - eight speakers to be paired with three good-quality subwoofers - becomes truly complete with the new control unit. Kef Q250c is an elegant speaker equipped with a crossover studied and designed to be used as LCR speaker or in a Home Cinema audio-video system. This center speaker has been designed to allow easy integration into any home theater system, providing even more configuration solutions than the bulkier (but still superior) Q650c model. Thanks to its compactness, if oriented vertically, Q250c can act as a thin side diffuser and help to create a multi-channel system (possibly composed of identical speakers) with little space.

Kef Q250c isn't just the little brother of the big HiFi Q650c center channel; Compared to the previous generation of Kef Q speakers, the Uni-Q driver has also been specifically updated here with a new rear tweeter tuning tube and the bass driver has been further improved. A low distortion inductor has also been integrated on the crossover.

Perfect voice, easy positioning without bass reflex!

The result is a cleaner and more incisive sound performance, even at high volumes. Furthermore, the removal of the rear reflex output allows the speaker to be positioned inside furniture or close to walls. therefore it is a real space-saving alternative. This is because the absence of the classic air duct allows you to physically place the speaker attached to the wall, immediately under the TV, without having to worry about rumble or reinforcement of the low range.

Note that the magnetic dust mask is not included but can be purchased separately.

A very versatile compact volume center channel

The dimensions of the Q250c place it close to the smaller speakers in the series such as the Q150 or the larger Q350s; paired with the latter, this central unit is perfect and they also share the diameter of the 16.5 cm Uni-Q driver. In addition to the coaxial driver just mentioned, the Kef Q250c Home Cinema speaker houses two passive drivers, with a diameter of 13 cm, completely in aluminum.

The cabinet of the series control unit has a clean and tidy appearance thanks to the absence of welds or screws. As an option, for those who want a classic look with a net, the refined grids - with magnetic attachment - in black fabric are available. Q250c is available in satin white, satin black and in the splendid new walnut version.
