Compact Floorstanding Speakers for HiFi and Cinema Surround

The Dynaudio Emit 30 is a compact, two-and-a-half-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for maximum fidelity whether used as a standalone stereo pair or as part of a 5.1-channel (or more) home cinema system. Emit 30, thanks to the rigidity of the cabinet and the extreme resistance of the woofers, is also perfect for those who want a little more power from their system.

Like its little brother the Dynaudio Emit 10, this floorstanding speaker uses 14cm MSP woofers similar to those used in the Dynaudio Evoke series. In this case, being a speaker over a meter tall, there are two woofers in each speaker, for a more "muscular" result in the low frequencies and greater clarity and incisiveness in the mids. MSP stands for Magnesium Silicate Polymer. It is a material that was developed in-house for woofer cones and that Dynaudio has been using for decades on even the most acclaimed high-end models. MSP provides exactly the right combination of light weight, stiffness and damping (tuned and perfected over the years) to deliver control and outright power exactly where it's needed.

Emit 30: woofer with Premium technology

The woofer cones are molded in one piece; a separate dust cover is not used. The small balance ribs around the edge of the center connect directly to the voice coil behind it, making the entire sound engine assembly one solid piece. Using fewer moving parts gives Dynaudio engineers precise control over how the speaker moves, which, in turn, means precise control over its performance. The bass delivered by the Emit 30 will be perceived as strong, fast, controlled and surprisingly clear. Even volume to raise the eyebrows.

Each woofer is powered by a double stack strontium carbonite + ferrite ceramic magnet system. The use of two magnets results in better management of magnetic energy: it is a lesson that Dynaudio engineers learned while developing the award-winning Special Forty series, and has therefore also been implemented in the brand new Dynaudio Emit 2021 series.

In the Dynaudio Emit 30, aluminum windings are used for the voice coil. Aluminum is light weight (which minimizes inertia on the back and forth motion of the cone) and because it is lighter than copper wire, it means more windings can be wound on the two-ply fiberglass. More wraps equals more transmittable power and greater control over fine movements. If all this were not enough, to further increase the control that the amplifier has over the voice coil, the aluminum wire has been coated with very thin copper.

Cerotar tweeter with high level performance

While the dual 14cm mid/bass units take care of the low and mid frequencies, the upper, finer audible spectrum is handled by the tweeter. The Emit line, in reference to the sophisticated proposal of the Danish brand, could seem like an "entry-level" line. On the other hand, the use of the Cerotar tweeter (the same used in the superior Evoke line) elevates Emit 30 in the real high fidelity range. The Cerotar tweeter is based on the Esotar tweeter made for the Special Forty and the Esotar Pro found in the Core studio reference speakers.

The 28mm soft dome diaphragm is supported by the clever Hexis inner dome. The playing surface has been specifically designed to produce ultra-clear, ultra-detailed high frequencies without dropouts (even at high volumes). During playback, Hexis smooths the airflow behind the tweeter to reduce unwanted resonances. An aluminum voice coil and magnet system provide all the necessary power. Cerotar is designed to provide high performance, for a long time, without tiring the listener: it is therefore perfect for long listening sessions and for all music lovers.

Sophisticated rear bass reflex

The bass port on the rear panel has a dual flare design, with vents in and out. It has been optimized to minimize unwanted "puffs". Comes with foam inserts that can be used to optimize performance, supporting easy placement of the speaker relative to walls.

Danish lifestyle – Danish designed furniture

Dynaudio Emit 30's cabinets are made from 18mm MDF. This material, thickness and design together provide a solid and stable platform for drivers to do their job well. The cabinets are internally damped with polyester fiber, measured to the gram to achieve the exact amount of resonance suppression.

On the outside, you can choose between three satin finishes: Black, White or Walnut. These nuances have been chosen to easily complete the decor of any room, in any HiFi or Home Cinema audio configuration. If desired, it is also possible to mix the various finishes to make one speaker stand out from the others – for example a black center channel, near the TV, and white side speakers, less visible against the walls.

Recommended amplifier, cables, accessories

If you are looking for a suitable amplifier to drive the Emit 30s, in a stereo system we recommend pairing it with Cyrus One (in one of three versions, depending on the type of listening and the preferred source: from analogue to streaming, to TV) or with Hegel H120. If you are interested in a Home Cinema system instead choose a receiver with no less than 80 Watts per channel, or even better 100 Watts.

Excellent audio cables, and commensurate for use with Dynaudio's Emits, are the Chord C-line or, if budget permits, the Clearway. We are talking about both signal cables with which to connect the various electronics and power cables between amplifier and speakers.

In both stereo and multi-channel systems, the use of Kube 8b, Kube 10b or Kube 12b subwoofers is recommended (depending on room size). In case of space problems or need for very high level performance, you can opt for the Eisa 2021 Kc62 premium compact subwoofer.

To improve sound definition and spatiality, as well as to reduce rumbles and vibrations, the definitive accessory for Emit 30 is notoriously made up of the Gaia 3 floor insulators (with correct screws already in the package) – which allow the speakers to literally take flight.
