Dynaudio Focus 30 are the complete compact floorstanding HiFi music system from the Focus family. They bring inside all the audiophile quality technology developed over the years by the Danish brand, together with the latest generation streaming and wireless functions.

Focus speakers integrate the legendary driver technologies that have made Dynaudio a point of reference for lovers of High Fidelity. They also integrate the same type of internal amplification used in professional reference studio monitors.

The legendary Dynaudio drivers

The Cerotar soft dome tweeter is based on the technologies integrated into the top-of-the-line Confidence line. It uses an optimized strontium carbonate magnet system, called Ferrite+, to optimize airflow and therefore increase the sensitivity of the tweeter. Thus offering clear, sweet and precise high notes that are easy to understand, from casual listeners to the most expert ears. All this translates into detailed but at the same time pleasant listening, ideal for long listening sessions.

The Esotec+ mid/bass drivers are made of MSP – Magnesium Silicate Polymer – a material developed, perfected and patented by Dynaudio over 4 decades. It provides exactly the right combination of lightness, stiffness and damping for incredible control over mid and low frequencies. It combines a lightweight aluminum voice coil – offering greater precision and control – and a specially designed magnetic system to generate greater driver excursion, resulting in punchier bass and greater midrange clarity.

The new surround and improved magnet system extend the frequency response further down, enhancing the stellar midrange performance.

Focus 30 guarantees 360° connectivity thanks to the Hi End streamer on board: it can connect to the most popular streaming platforms, via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or Bluetooth. This system in fact supports Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Qplay, UPnP and Netradio. And I'm also Roon Ready.

Not only that: Focus 30 can play any song stored in digital format, whether on a streaming platform or stored on a hard drive in the home network. You will thus have an infinite music library, accessible from any compatible device, smartphone, tablet or any storage device.

And if you are fond of your mechanics, you can of course make the most of them: a wide range of digital and analogue connections on the rear panel allow you to connect for example a CD player or a turntable.

The sub output allows you to connect a Subwoofer to complete your system, such as the Dynaudio Sub 3.

And if you don't feel like using the Dynaudio App, you can directly use the Bluetooth remote control included among the accessories.

Technologies

Thanks to the sophisticated DSP – Digital Signal Processing – Focus speakers can optimize their performance based on their position in the room. Through the App you can describe the position of the speakers in the environment, for example near a wall, in a corner or in free space. This module will be able to optimize the listening performance for that specific speaker position.

And if that's not enough for you, there is Dirac Live optimization which acts on both the frequencies and the time delays caused by reflections within the room. Obtaining a digital correction calibrated for your specific room, obtaining completely personalized results, literally making problems due to unfavorable room geometries “disappear”.

The speakers are able to optimize the acoustic performance based on the presence or absence of the magnetic grille, triggering the internal equalizer. The new blue “Y” shaped LED will begin flashing to let you know it is recalibrating.

They also integrate an automatic safety system that keeps an eye on volume levels that could cause damage to the drivers and amplification. Essentially a custom sliding high-pass filter that reduces the excursion of the woofer as the volume increases and allows for perfect sound balance, in complete safety. So you can get deep bass even at lower volumes.

And for cinema lovers? If you want to enjoy Dynaudio sound quality and avoid separate component systems and stray cables, Focus 30 are for you. Built-in WiSA technology connects wirelessly to a compatible TV or USB dongle to stream audio to Dynaudio active speakers. No mess, pure pleasure.

Acoustic qualities

The entire Focus family was tested with Jupiter, a highly technological system of 31 microphones installed on a robotic arm that measures the effective - real - performance of the speakers at 360°, not just in the sweet spot.

Focus 30 has more than 40 years of acoustic design experience behind its technology. The drivers are those that made Dynaudio legendary and each has its own dedicated amplifier, of the same type used in professional studios. An amplification module manages a Cerotar soft dome tweeter, integrated with Hexis technology which reduces unwanted resonances and attenuates the frequency response obtaining clearer, cleaner and more detailed tones; two amplification modules are allocated for the 14cm Esotec+ woofers. This ensures absolute control over each speaker, achieving very high performance in terms of sound image rendering. Without a doubt, what you have always wanted.

With a total of 3 amplifiers per speaker, each specifically chosen for the drivers to be driven: 110 W for the tweeter, 280 W for the mid woofer and 280 W for the woofer, for a total of 670 W of power. Focus 30 is ready to add sound to a medium-sized room with a balanced sound output without compromises. The amplification modules – all class D – are made by Dynaudio's partners, Pascal Audio of Copenhagen, the same ones inserted inside the Core flagship professional studio monitors. From the best recording studios directly to your listening room, thus tracing a direct line between artist and music enthusiast.

The closed-box MDF cabinet design allows us to take full advantage of the powerful amplification and DSP – digital signal processing – to deliver deep bass, an expressive midrange and brilliant highs.

Pure Danish design

Danish design is devoted to simplicity, minimalism and functionality, an elegance destined to last over time. The refined slim design of the cabinet is designed following interior design trends in order to create a speaker that can be perfectly integrated into any type of furniture. The strong point is its extreme compactness: all the electronics are enclosed inside the cabinet, so you won't have to reorganize your rooms in order to have a High Quality system. The MDF cabinet is sturdy and of the same amazing quality as Dynaudio's famous passive speakers. 4 finishes are available: gloss black, gloss white, light wood and walnut.

The drivers have elegant anodized aluminum edges with a brushed finish that show the undisputed quality in attention to detail.

The Dynaudio logo on the side of the drivers integrates an LED that shows at a glance how they are connected.

Easy to play

Management and use of Focus 30 is extremely simple. Everything happens from the simple and intuitive Dynaudio App. Configure your active speakers, connect them to your home network, assign presets and more, all through a quick and easy guided interface. You can always use the effective Bluetooth remote control or your mobile device to control the music.

These speakers are digital and digital means they can be updated and keep up with the times, codings etc. Periodic firmware updates will be made available over time and will be automatically downloaded from the speakers (updates can be disabled if desired). Over time, Focus 30 will be able to offer new features and even more refined controls. Your active HiFi system will be updated without you having to worry about it.
