Description
Clearway HDMI 2.0 and 2.1 cable
Chord Company's Clearway HDMI cable takes materials and shielding to the next level, with nickel-shielded plugs, guaranteed higher bandwidth, and high-quality copper conductors sheathed with polyethylene insulation. Five pairs of conductors are individually shielded internally, with the overall bundle further protected by an external double aluminum foil shield. This constructive refinement allows the English brand to offer even very long cuts, up to 10 meters, without loss of quality.
The range, in different lengths, supports 4K or 8K signals, HDR, HDCP2.2, Deep Colour, Ethernet/audio return, 1080p, 3D and all HDMI audio formats. With bandwidth between 18 and 48 Gbps, these cables are a worthy addition to the award-winning Clearway range.
Clearway HDMI 0.75m 1.5m 2m 3m lengths support 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, 48GBps, Dynamic HDR, HDCP2.2, eARC, 3D and all HDMI audio formats. Available lengths: 0.75m, 1.5m, 2m, 3m.
Clearway HDMI 5m, 10m lengths support 8K, 60Hz 18GBps HDR, HDCP2.2, Deep Colour, Ethernet/Audio Return, 1080p, 3D and all HDMI audio formats.
Chord Clearway HDMI AOC active cables
Today's high-tech home contains many devices that produce high frequency (HF) noise. Cables often act as antennas by picking up this noise. Unfortunately, the longer the cable, the better the antenna becomes.
These unwanted high-frequency signals can penetrate unprotected cables and end up on signal ground. To preserve these delicate signals, all Chord Company HDMI cables feature highly efficient HF shielding to minimize noise pickup. Following concerns about copper-only cable being stretched to its limits, Chord has for years been exploring optical technology to carry the increasingly complex signals required by the latest (and future) players, processors and displays. Unlike TOSLINK cables, where the entire signal is carried in optical fiber, AOC HDMI cable is a hybrid of 7 copper wires and 4 optical fibers. The advantage of optical fiber is that it does not pick up HF noise. The same cannot be said for copper cables! This potential weakness, coupled with the longer cable lengths involved, means that HF noise on signal ground is unavoidable.
Even though it is a digital “optical” cable, Chord ensures that the copper cables are fully protected from external HF noise pollution, therefore a double aluminum foil shielding system has been incorporated under the outer PVC sheath .
