MoFi Fender PrecisionDeck is the turntable in a limited edition of 1000, engineered and produced by MoFi in collaboration with Fender.
The result is a premium turntable derived from the award-winning MoFi UltraDeck and nestled within the plinth crafted from swamp ash and finished in Fender's traditional Precision Bass Sunburst finish.
The sexiest collaboration in Hi-Fi history Fender x MoFi PrecisionDeck features the hallmarks of both American companies.
Visually, the unmistakable and iconic Sunburst tricolor is noticeable and reflects the legendary Fender look of the famous Precision Bass, Stratocaster, and Telecaster models, starting with its materials.
It is a collector's item, limited to only 1000 units, and is individually numbered and marked, all reported on a plate not unlike the metal plates of Fender guitars. p>
The material – the classic Fender Precision Bass swamp ash – has been optimized for low resonance.
Thanks to Yuriy Shishkov – a wood expert and one of Fender's most important luthiers – it was possible to adapt ash to create a reference turntable: each wooden plank of the PrecisionDeck is it's weathered, machined, and finished by fender before sending it to the MoFi factory in Michigan for the rest of the components to be incorporated, and boasts the exact same hand-paint process that Fender employs for its revered stringed instruments.
Sonically, MoFi's PrecisionDeck exemplifies audiophile quality through and through, aiming for vinyl playback that is faithful to the source, exceptionally quiet and devoid of its own signature.
Basically we are dealing with an UltraDeck turntable, created from the pencil of one of the most famous turntable designers in the world: Allen Perkins.
“The Fender x MoFi PrecisionDeck is a high performance turntable from every point of view: MoFi is renowned for pressing some of the greatest vinyls of all time in which Fender instruments are the undisputed protagonists. The collaboration was a natural fit.” AudioAdvice
MasterTracker head
In addition to the aesthetic side, the base made of light ash and the Sunburnst finish, the PrecisionDeck is equipped with the equivalent of a guitar pickup: the MasterTracker head.
Handcrafted in Japan, MasterTracker cuts through the walls of the LP groove with absolute precision, returning the same sound image recorded in the mastering studio with cinematic reach: large soundstage, clarity and dynamics; great detail in complex passages and fast, textural bass.
Tonearm Ultra
The arm is a 10-inch UltraTonearm that uses high-quality, smooth ball bearings that are polished for low friction in both the vertical and horizontal planes, to noiselessly extract as much musical information from a record's grooves.

The wiring is extremely accurate so as to maintain the purity of the signal up to the output gold-plated RCA connectors using high quality Cardas Audio cables.
Anti-vibration feet from HRS
Any stylus vibration that is not created by the grooves in the record is distortion that masks musical detail.
Developed in collaboration with the engineering team of Harmonic Resolution Systems, the world leader in vibration isolation for audio equipment, the anti-vibration feet that equip the PrecisionDeck isolate the turntable from external vibrations and unwanted resonances.

Isolated AC synchronous motor
To guide the rotation of the platter we find a synchronous pulley motor, precise and silent, mounted directly on the base of the turntable.
Delrin pulley allows you to choose between standard 33 1/3 and 45 rpm speeds.
Vibrations produced by the motor are kept away from the platter and stylus using advanced damping materials that decouple the motor from the rest of the turntable.
Delrin plate
This turntable stands out for its sturdy 3 kg platter made of Delrin (new generation polymer): this material allows to obtain a solid base with extremely homogeneous density, offering a uniform and constant rotation.
Its impedance with vinyl is high, thus managing to keep unwanted noise away and creating a better combination with the plastic material of the records.
Mass is so important both as a noise shield and for rotational stability.
Inverted bearing in hardened steel
MoFi turntables use a unique design that features an inverted bearing system: the spindle is integrally drowned in the Delrin platter, and the inverted bearings are positioned on the turntable plinth. The hardened steel inverted bearing system is designed to offer stable, smooth and silent rotation.
The extremely low tolerance combination of steel, bronze and sapphire, found in the most expensive turntables in the world, provides performance of the highest level.
Who is Leo Fender?
In 1938, before the first electric guitar was even made, Leo Fender with $ 600 borrowed, founded the Fender Radio Service by making use of his knowledge of electronics by selling devices of all kinds, from turntables to radios. But not everyone knows that in 1945 Fender – with fellow inventors Doc Kauffman and Clifton Abbott – designed and patented a turntable.
Fender eventually sold the rights to the turntable in 1945 for a $5,000 royalties advance and used the proceeds as seed capital to finance the K&F Manufacturing Corporation with Kauffman. For a short time, K&F made Lap Steel guitars, amplifiers and turntables until Kauffman sold his share of the company to Fender: so Leo Fender founded Fender Electric Instruments in 1946.
In 1950 Fender launched the Esquire and the Broadcaster, which due to a conflict over the name, was quickly renamed Telecaster – in honor of the invention that would change human history at that time: the television.< /p>
From that point on, Fender guitars and amplifiers became examples of industrial design. In 1951 the Precision Bass was presented which, thanks to the presence of the frets, makes the position of the finger on the fretboard more precise to produce a note and which, creating an alternative to the cumbersome double bass, represents Fender's most innovative instrument.</ p>
This revolution was followed, in 1954, by the birth of the very famous Stratocaster, with 3 pick ups and the introduction of the famous tremolo arm, it is an instrument so influential on American culture as to become a true icon.

Tip: Filtered AC current
In the HiFi listening chains, the various devices must be consistent with each other to get the best results.
Amplifiers and delicate electronics should always be powered with possibly controlled and filtered electric current.
Every noise induced by sudden changes in the home network or in the macro living area is reflected in voltage oscillations - even important and harmful to the device - which in the best case are detrimental to listening pleasure and absolute performance of our devices.
We strongly recommend the use of shielded power cords and good quality power strips with amplifiers and audio electronics of decent to good quality.
These improve the life and performance of the connected devices and also of the rest of the appliances in the house since they do not filter disturbances and discharges but, symmetrically, do not emit them.
Also toroidal electrical insulators for HiFi are recommended to obtain the maximum in terms of listening and safety.
