ISOTEK EVO3 ASCENSION

This unique design consists of cryogenically treated silver plated Ohno continuous fused copper conductors wound in an air dielectric, with partial FEP contact, before an additional extruded FEP sleeve seals the construction. Each of these individual conductor assemblies is wrapped in Mylar with an additional OFC shield before receiving a slight rotational twist with FEP air tubing.

Ascension lowers the noise floor to inky black, opens up the soundstage with holographic imaging, air and space, and unparalleled microdynamics. Amazing.

Technical features

CONSTRUCTION: Conductors are in parallel configuration with a slight rotational twist. This proven technique remains the first line of defense against RFI and EMI rejection.

A) Conductors: Ohno Continuous Cast silver-plated 4.0mm² copper conductors offer a significantly higher level of purity than traditional OFC. Each conductor is deep cryogenically treated down to -196°C. The geometry and metallurgy used in this cable delivers outstanding performance with extremely impressive electrical conductivity.

B) Dielectric: To achieve near vacuum dielectric constant, IsoTek created a Virtual Air Dielectric offering only 1.0548 dielectric constant. This air curtain is achieved with minimal conductor contact and the use of an FEP (Teflon) bridge. FEP itself is an excellent dielectric, low coefficient, and the first choice for both temperature and electrical insulation safety.

C) Filler: Transparent FEP (Teflon) air tubes surround each conductor maintaining low dielectric constant and stability of the cable construction.

D) Wrapping: Each conductor assembly is wrapped in Mylar to provide individual conductor shielding and an additional RFI barrier.

E) Shield: A grounded OFC shield ensures maximum RFI rejection, thus preventing common-mode noise affecting the live and neutral conductors.

F) Coating: PVC is used as an external coating to give a high degree of flexibility and mechanical resistance.

TERMINATION: The Ascension cable is terminated using IsoTek's highest quality audiophile connectors made of solid OFC with pure silver plated conductors. These offer the highest level of conductivity and quality performance.
