SoundEngine 2

The heart of the integrated amplifier is the SoundEngine 2 section, a patented amplification system from Hegel. It works similarly to noise-canceling headphones: an internal algorithm samples the input signal and compares it to the output signal, calculating the difference (distortion) and adding it to the music in reverse phase.

This process, which occurs without delay, virtually eliminates any errors or artifacts created during processing and amplification. The result is an extremely pure and musical sound.

All Hegel amplifiers are equipped with SoundEngine, now in its second and more refined version. The quality of this algorithm is such that many renowned speaker manufacturers (such as Kef, Dynaudio, Harbet and Magico) recommend Hegel as the reference for amplification.
