The PH-5 is the latest addition to the Gold Note range of pre-phono pre-phonos, designed to offer the quality and performance that made the PH-10 and PH-1000 famous, at an affordable price and with all the features innovations that distinguish the products of this brand. PH-5 is suitable for any type of analog system thanks to the RCA input for connecting both MM and MC cartridges, selectable EQ curves (RIAA, Decca London and American Columbia, all with Enhanced option), gain and load adjustment , which guarantee maximum versatility and flexibility.

PH-5 is the first Gold Note product designed with a touchscreen interface: all settings are easily accessible and modifiable thanks to the innovative and extremely intuitive color touch display, which allows you to adjust any function in real time and without interrupting audio playback. The phono preamp is based on a completely new design to integrate the entire electronics on a single board, unlike what happens on the PH-10 where the analog and digital stages are located on dedicated boards.

The digital interface is combined with a completely analog heart: the audio signal path is in fact made with discrete audio components and optimized to reduce distance and minimize possible interference. Each setting selected via the touch is in fact applied to the audio signal by switching its path through the use of relays. An "analogue purity" that gives extreme audio quality and allows you to extract even the smallest detail from the vinyl.

Each recording has its own equalization curve

The PH-5 allows you to select, directly from the display, the most appropriate equalization curve for each vinyl: RIAA, DECCA LONDON or AMERICAN COLUMBIA. Thanks to our proprietary technology inspired by Georg Neumann (maker of the famous Neumann phonograph machine), each curve is also available in an “enhanced” version to allow the frequency response to be extended up to 50kHz by increasing the dynamics and impact of the audio performance when required .

Dedicated external power supply

To maximize the performance of PH-5 we have made it compatible with the dedicated PSU, an external super inductive power supply that allows the phono stage to express its full potential, returning the sound of vinyl with extreme realism, three-dimensionality and precision.
