SCA2 is the reference preamplifier in the ATC electronics range, it is made with obsessive attention using premium components to perfectly match the active speakers of the Classic Series - from the SCM 50A to the SCM 150A - but also for the power amplifiers, like the powerful 300 W per channel ATC P2 Dual-Mono power amplifier.

In production since 1996, each unit is hand-built in the UK ensuring unrivaled quality and superior audio performance.

SCA2 inherits the prestigious past of ATC products in both the Professional and HiFi ranges, famous for their engineering reliability and exceptional sound performance.

Featuring an intuitive control interface, SCA2 is simple to use and integrates seamlessly into any audio system. SCA2 offers a wide range of connectivity options to suit the best analog sources: including two balanced XLR stereo pairs and six unbalanced RCA stereo pairs.

For digital sources, a separate DAC is required for signal conversion: the ideal match in terms of quality and performance is with the Dave and Hugo TT2 DACs from Chord Electronics.

The optional high-quality phono stage is fully configurable to any MM (moving magnet) or MC (moving coil) cartridge for both load and gain and its low-noise design also makes it suitable for coil cartridges mobile with lower output. For this reason it can be connected directly to high quality turntables such as the MoFi reference models, obtaining an extremely musical performance.

A key feature of the ATC SCA2 preamplifier is the total elimination of audio circuits integrated in the main signal path, made possible thanks to a high-performance ten-block discrete gain circuit, thus reducing noise and distortion to a minimum, preserving the purity of the audio signal. Additionally, all amplifiers in the monitor chain are made with discrete bipolar transistors and FETs.

Precision volume control ensures accurate adjustment and is designed to offer high gain, wide bandwidth and low distortion.

Each gain stage includes its own decoupling from the supply voltage and the individual channels are powered individually.

The power supplies are super quiet and all circuitry is contained on a single PCB to eliminate wiring for better winding quality.

High current output stages ensure exceptionally low distortion at any load and maintain a high impedance (10 Ohm) to handle long runs of cable.
