Together with the renewed line of R Meta loudspeakers, Kef Stand S3 was created, the pedestal specially designed to be combined with the Kef R3 Meta HiFi passive speakers but also compatible with R3 version 2021. The S3 Stands, with a height of 542 mm, are were specifically designed in the UK in the Maidstone headquarters to ensure maximum integration with the bookshelf model of the R Meta line.

The positioning of the speakers within the room is essential when it comes to creating the ideal sound set-up. Floor stands position the speakers at the correct height from the floor – in line with the listening position – to ensure the best possible listening experience.

The R3 Meta speakers are speakers of the highest level and – as we know – the details make the difference. They can be positioned on a piece of furniture or on a desk using decouplers to ensure excellent performance, but using their dedicated stand undoubtedly enhances the acoustic - and aesthetic - result.

In fact, Kef S3 Stands not only provide a solid support platform, but their dimensions have been dictated by the Maidstone engineering team to guarantee the optimal performance of the Kef R3 loudspeakers – both Meta and the previous 2021 version. They are characterized by a heavy aluminum structure that increases the stability and solidity of the speaker-support assembly.

Kef S3 Stand is equipped with a mounting system that rigidly fixes the R3 Meta speaker on the stand, but also with an integrated cable management to ensure that they are well hidden and organized in an orderly and discreet way, thus facilitating cleaning and giving maximum elegance to the solution.

These new Kef pedestals have been designed for the Kef R3 Meta loudspeakers but of course they can also be used perfectly with other High End pedestal speakers, always taking into consideration the size of the specific stand compared to the base of the speakers.

In this case the top plate of the Kef S3 mount measures 175 x 252 mm.

It is also possible to fill the internal volume of the stand with a special acoustic filler: for these stands, approximately 5-6 kg of inert material are recommended for each support. All this to further maximize its stability and ensure the necessary damping of unwanted vibrations, creating a perfect support platform to guarantee high speaker performance. Inserting damping material also reduces the risk of falling by tipping over due to small accidental bumps.

The special under-spikes are supplied together with the stand to protect the wooden floors from possible scratches, always maintaining a rigid positioning of the speaker/stand system. With Kef S3 Stand you will make your speakers express themselves to the fullest, both in aesthetic and acoustic terms. To maximize the performance of the speakers, a notable upgrade can be obtained by integrating a set of IsoAcoustics Gaia III isolators into the system, which allow the speaker to be completely decoupled from the floor, obtaining an immediate result on the bass: they will be much drier and without rumbles . But the medium-high frequencies will also benefit in terms of transparency and definition.
