Kef KF92 is the high-end subwoofer of the English brand of Maidstone. Inspired by the design of the Reference 8b high-end subwoofer, it features two integrated high-power Class D amplifiers. Astounding to hear, there is a pair of drivers in a force cancellation configuration capable of providing enormous depth, dynamics and more details. KF92 is a sub that can be connected both via a signal cable - a classic coaxial for high quality SUB, up to several meters long - and completely wirelessly thanks to the Kef adapter KW1, the brand new wireless module from Kef .

The driver design of this subwoofer is the same as that of the R series bass drivers; they feature 23 cm diameter cones in aluminum and paper composite material, a large magnet system and a ventilated design for improved linearity and excursion. The arrangement of the drivers in a force-canceling configuration eliminates the mechanical stresses acting on the cabinet, considerably reducing its vibrations. This unique system allows the KF92 to reach sound pressure levels of 110 dB while the integrated 1000W Class D amplification creates enormous power with incredible control for a more detailed sound, closer to that heard in the recording studio. , able to cleanly fill even the largest space.

Force canceling system

KF92 is equipped with two identical drivers mounted in opposite direction; this configuration is called force canceling and brings a number of advantages:

Wider output

At low frequencies the sound created by the drivers does not cancel each other out - in fact, when combined, the output increases by up to 6 dB (double the amplitude of a single driver).

Better dynamics

Having two drivers means two moving coils. Two moving coils allow heat to dissipate much easier. In addition, with the use of ventilated drivers, the KF92 features very low distortion, better power handling and a very wide dynamic range.

Music Integrity Engine

Intelligent Bass Extension (iBX)
