Rega Planar 1 Green Grade: Instead of not using parts with cosmetic defects, Rega has decided to use such parts to build Rega Green Grade products. The Rega Planar 1 Green Grade will work and perform perfectly and will be backed by Rega's unrivaled limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Rega says: “In an ideal world, all consumers would accept Green Grade and we at Rega would stop wasting valuable resources and reduce our carbon footprint. For now, however, we hope that these small steps will change people's attitudes and give us a better and less costly future."

Rega Planar 1 Green Grade is a 'Plug&Play' turntable thanks to automatic bias adjustment, RB110 tonearm with zero tolerance bearings to ensure minimum friction, low noise 24v motor and better rotation stability, EBLT belt to improve performance and accuracy of speed, Carbon head.

GREEN GRADE: SAVE MONEY AND SAVE THE PLANET

With Green Grade products Rega has decided not to throw away but reuse some components with aesthetic defects to build turntables that maintain the quality and unsurpassed performance of a REGA turntable at a lower cost due to aesthetic imperfections. So here are the Rega Green Grade turntables, for now offered only in the Planar 1 and Planar 1 Plus models, in quantities and finishes limited by the availability of components. Both these models are equipped with the Carbon cartridge (A grade = new and perfect from all points of view), each platter is scrupulously tested and must pass all the stringent quality tests that any REGA turntable must always pass. Performance is absolutely NOT affected. The warranty remains valid for functional defects but on Green Grade products it does not cover aesthetic defects.
