The WiiM world continues to expand and is now making its debut in the wireless speaker category with the new WiiM Sound, a very compact model that integrates perfectly with WiiM products already on the market.

After years of creating award-winning streamers and amplifiers, WiiM has created the first WiiM Sound speaker. WiiM Sound, after listening to the requests of the now-large WiiM community worldwide. With Smart Multiroom, 24-bit/192kHz playback, built-in room correction, and custom equalization, this speaker can adapt to any environment and sound preferences like never before.

Its stereo configuration includes a front-facing full-range speaker and two side-firing tweeters to create a stereo effect even using a single speaker.

The highlight, as with all WiiM products, is the control app, identical to the one available for popular WiiM streamers.

It measures just over 14 cm on each side and about 19 cm in height, has a standard black finish, and features a beautiful front-facing display that is a rarity for a speaker in this category and missing from major competitors. The screen is especially useful in multiroom setups when paired with other WiiM components. It is accompanied by direct touch controls on the top.

In terms of connectivity, we find a network port and a minijack audio input, another interesting feature. which is often lacking in direct competitors. For wireless connectivity, Wiim claims Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

There are no built-in microphones, but you can use Alexa with the included remote control. Ambient sound correction is available via your smartphone.
