9.4-Channel Amplification

The CINEMA 50 Series 2 features 9 discrete power amplifiers, capable of delivering 110 W per channel into 8 Ohms and up to 150 W into 6 Ohms under the specified measurement conditions. This configuration provides the power required to drive sophisticated multichannel Home Cinema systems while maintaining substantial power reserves.

The design uses a Current Feedback configuration and Marantz's renowned HDAM-SA2 modules. Pure Direct mode can also be selected to minimize unnecessary processing and prioritize the audio signal path.

Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D

The CINEMA 50 Series 2 supports a wide range of immersive audio formats. Dolby Atmos allows surround and dedicated height speakers to be used to create a three-dimensional sound field, while DTS:X provides similarly advanced processing for compatible soundtracks.

The receiver also supports IMAX Enhanced, Auro-3D, Dolby Atmos Music, 360 Reality Audio and MPEG-H, making it suitable for both cinematic reproduction and immersive music playback.

Processing up to 11.4 Channels

With preamplifier processing for up to 11.4 channels and multichannel pre-outs, the CINEMA 50 Series 2 offers extensive expansion possibilities. External power amplifiers can be connected to further expand the system or to create particularly sophisticated Home Cinema configurations.

The four independent subwoofer outputs allow systems with multiple subwoofers to be configured, providing greater flexibility when distributing low-frequency energy throughout the listening room.

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 and Dirac Live

Automatic room calibration is handled by Audyssey MultEQ XT32, one of the most advanced room correction systems available in the Marantz range. The system analyses the response of the speakers and listening environment to optimize system performance.

Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume are also available, while the CINEMA 50 Series 2 is ready for an upgrade to Dirac Live, providing additional possibilities for fine-tuning the system's response.

8K HDMI and Next-Generation Connectivity

The video section features 6 HDMI inputs with 8K compatibility and 3 HDMI outputs, providing extensive connectivity for televisions, projectors, game consoles, Blu-ray players and streaming devices.

Compatibility with modern sources and displays makes the CINEMA 50 Series 2 particularly suitable for gaming and contemporary Home Cinema systems, with complete management of digital sources through the HDMI platform.

HEOS, Streaming and Multiroom

The HEOS platform is integrated directly into the receiver, providing access to major music streaming services and allowing the creation of multiroom systems. Supported services include Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer, Pandora, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio and TuneIn.

The CINEMA 50 Series 2 also supports AirPlay 2 and Roon Ready, allowing it to be easily integrated into a modern digital music ecosystem.

Hi-Res Audio Playback

The network section supports high-resolution audio files including FLAC, WAV and ALAC up to 192 kHz / 24-bit, as well as DSD files up to 5.6 MHz.

Gapless playback is also supported for FLAC, WAV, ALAC and DSD, making the receiver suitable for albums and recordings designed as continuous musical sequences.

Comprehensive Connectivity

In addition to the HDMI section, the CINEMA 50 Series 2 provides 5 analogue inputs, an MM phono input, 2 optical inputs and 2 coaxial inputs. The front USB connection allows compatible audio content to be played directly from storage devices.

Network connectivity includes Wi-Fi and Ethernet, while Bluetooth also supports transmission to compatible Bluetooth headphones, with transmitter volume control.

Two Multiroom Zones

The multiroom system supports two independent zones, allowing different sources to be used in different areas of the installation. Speaker and zone pre-outs are available, together with HDMI assignment options for multiroom use.

Marantz Design

The CINEMA 50 Series 2 adopts the distinctive design of the modern Marantz CINEMA family, with a metal front panel, central OLED display and construction designed to integrate into high-end Home Cinema and Hi-Fi systems.
