Indiana Line Lira 2 – 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker

Indiana Line Lira 2 is the most compact loudspeaker in the prestigious Lira series, designed to deliver a complete and refined listening experience even in compact stereo systems. The combination of a 150 mm Curv-cone midwoofer and a 28 mm aluminium-magnesium alloy dome tweeter provides a detailed, dynamic and natural sound, while maintaining an extremely compact footprint.

Lira 2 is developed according to the Symbiotic Drive design philosophy, an approach that considers the cabinet, drivers and crossover as a single electroacoustic system. Every element has been engineered to work in synergy, with the goal of achieving a coherent and precise reproduction combined with a wide and convincing soundstage.

    Key Features

    • Compact 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker
    • Designed according to the proprietary Symbiotic Drive concept

    Symbiotic Drive: uncompromised design

The Symbiotic Drive concept is at the heart of Lira 2's design. The cabinet, drivers and crossover network have been developed as parts of a single electroacoustic system, ensuring coherent response and seamless integration between the different frequency ranges.

The cabinet uses carefully reinforced MDF panels and a 21 mm thick front baffle. The internal bamboo structure contributes to increased cabinet rigidity, while the non-parallel side walls help reduce the formation of internal standing waves.

The distinctive rearward-angled front baffle also promotes better time alignment between the midwoofer and tweeter, contributing to greater soundstage precision and accurate spatial reproduction.

    Al-Mg Tweeter with 3D-Guide Technology

The 28 mm tweeter features a sophisticated dome made from an aluminium-magnesium alloy. The driver is housed within the 3D-Guide waveguide, combined with the EQ-Ring phase corrector.

This solution allows dispersion to be controlled while maintaining a more uniform response away from the main listening axis. The powerful neodymium magnet and rear damping chamber contribute to driver control and help reduce unwanted resonances.

The result is precise, detailed and spacious high-frequency reproduction, with excellent integration with the midwoofer.

150 mm Midwoofer with Curv Diaphragm

Mid and low frequencies are handled by a 150 mm midwoofer featuring a Curv diaphragm and die-cast aluminium basket. Its magnetic system uses a ferrite magnet and three shorting rings, two aluminium and one copper, designed to control inductance and reduce distortion.

The second-generation Dual-Wave surround increases the linear excursion of the driver and allows transient signals to be handled with greater precision. Lira 2 therefore combines natural reproduction of voices and instruments with dynamic, controlled and well-articulated bass.

    Advanced Crossover

The crossover network has been developed to achieve maximum integration between the two drivers. Its components include air-core inductors, non-inductive resistors and polypropylene capacitors, while dedicated LC-Trap filters help control the natural resonances of the drivers.

The crossover frequency is set at 3,000 Hz. The objective is to achieve a smooth transition between the midwoofer and tweeter, with a coherent response and homogeneous sound presentation.

Versatility for Stereo and Home Cinema Systems

Thanks to its compact dimensions, 87 dB sensitivity and recommended amplifier power between 30 and 100 W, Indiana Line Lira 2 can be used in a wide range of configurations. It is particularly suitable as the main speaker in compact stereo systems, but can also be employed as a surround speaker in higher-level home cinema systems.

The bass-reflex enclosure with rear-firing port provides useful low-frequency extension while allowing the speaker to interact effectively with the listening environment. Lira 2 therefore offers an appealing balance between compact dimensions, dynamics and depth of reproduction.
