The Silver Cloud power cable represents the top of the range in Audioquest's Wind series, the perfect cable for no-compromise electronics that, thanks to its qualities, can perform at their best—because yes, all performance starts with good power. The Silver Cloud uses Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) and Perfect-Surface Copper Plus (PSC+) conductors, which, thanks to their perfectly smooth surface, guarantee excellent signal transmission with extremely low distortion. Featuring the ZERO (no) Impedance system, this guarantees uncompressed high-current passage when required. Unlike most power cables that constrain or compress audio-induced transients, Audioquest cables combine low resistance and ZERO characteristic impedance. The Silver Cloud also logically features the patented DBS dielectric polarization system. This creates a constant dielectric field for the cable's primary capacitance or dielectric field. DBS ensures extended bandwidth and more uniformly filtered noise dissipation, eliminating the distortion and ringing that plague other cables even after years of use and so-called "break-in time." Furthermore, DBS ensures that the RF noise dissipation system operates as smoothly as possible. The other problem that plagues power cables, namely the dissipation of background noise, is also excellently addressed. Indeed, these cables often serve as antennas in their own right and are therefore subject to induced radio frequency (RF) noise. This RF noise bypasses component power supplies and is typically coupled directly to a system's most sensitive audio/video circuitry. Audioquest's patented noise-canceling design significantly reduces this distortion, producing unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest possible radio frequency bandwidth. The unique circuit topology utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array, along with proprietary dielectric materials that provide additional linear filtering.
