The Audioquest Hurricane High-Current Power Cable further improves on the Tornado High-Current, constructed exclusively with Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors. This enhancement ensures consistently improved conductivity, further reducing interference and losses, while delivering cleaner, more substantial current to the system it is connected to. The Hurricane High-Current is the ideal cable for providing power-hungry equipment, such as power amplifiers or power conditioners, with the quantity and quality of current needed to perform to their full potential. Like all Storm Series cables, this cable is uniquely constructed, with each of the ground, live, and neutral conductors individually constructed as separate wires, twisted together, and terminated with a specially designed plug on both the source and receiver ends. This unique design is highly effective at reducing RF noise and electromagnetic interference, resulting in minimized distortion, finer detail, and lower background noise. This is thanks to a more sophisticated noise-dissipation system than ever before. AQ patented, this cable achieves the performance of the AQ Niagara power conditioner, reducing noise that masks detail, ambience, etc. Audioquest's Dielectric Bias System, DBS, on the other hand, reduces non-linear distortions caused by temporary energy buildup in a cable's insulation, but in the Storm Series, DBS is applied more strategically than ever, as dielectric noise reduction takes a backseat to DBS, extending the bandwidth and efficiency of the all-important RF noise dissipation. By creating a constant dielectric field for the cable's primary capacitance or dielectric field, DBS ensures extended bandwidth and more uniformly filtered noise dissipation, eliminating distortion. With a current capacity of 20 amps RMS at 125 VAC 50/60 Hz (16 amps RMS at 220-240 VA 50/60 Hz), the Hurricane/High-Current can handle transient current spikes many times its continuous RMS (average) rating. This makes it ideal for a wide range of power conditioners, power regenerators, as well as any power amplifier, powered subwoofer, powered speaker, or integrated amplifier.
