The Chord ShawlineX Speaker is a high-end speaker cable developed by The Chord Company for premium hi-fi and high-end audio systems. A direct evolution of the renowned Chord RumourX design, this speaker cable is engineered to deliver exceptionally neutral, fast and coherent signal transmission, improving detail retrieval, microdynamics and musical realism.

The ShawlineX design uses high-purity silver-plated OFC copper conductors combined with XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene) insulation, selected by Chord Company for its superior dielectric performance compared to the PTFE insulation used in previous generations. The conductors are arranged in a twisted pair configuration to improve timing accuracy and musical coherence.

To reduce mechanical noise and external interference, ShawlineX employs a sophisticated dual-layer shielding structure combining high-density foil and a 93% coverage metal braid, derived directly from the Chord Epic range. This design effectively reduces RF and EMI interference generated by routers, streamers, switching power supplies and electronic devices commonly found in modern listening environments.

The result is a more natural, dynamic and three-dimensional presentation with tighter bass response, greater transparency and improved soundstage focus. ShawlineX also excels at preserving microdetail, harmonic structure and tonal nuance without altering the original character of the recording.

Available both off the reel and factory-terminated with ChordOhmic 4 mm banana plugs or spade connectors, the Chord ShawlineX Speaker represents a substantial upgrade for modern hi-fi amplifiers and loudspeakers. Handmade entirely in the United Kingdom.
