The MP 200 G3

The MP 200 G3 was developed with the goal of combining compact dimensions with a wide range of sources. From Bluetooth and CD to the latest streaming and radio playback technologies, the unit can make the most of all your sources. The MP 200 G3 not only handles FM, FM-HD, and DAB+ playback, but also offers equally convenient streaming from mobile devices and local network storage devices. External digital sources benefit equally from its exceptional signal processing capabilities.

While the MP 200 G3 works with any D/A converter, its overall design has been developed to offer special synergy when used with the 200 Series converters, the DAC 200 and the HA 200: T+A SYS Link exchanges control data, routes audio signals along the optimal path and allows the MP 200 G3 to become the command center of a complete system when using the T+A MusicNavigator app.

G3 Audiophile Streaming Architecture and Bluetooth

Our third-generation Audiophile Streaming Architecture creates a flawless audiophile connection between the 200 Series and the digital world. During its development, the focus was not only on maximizing sonic potential, but also on expanding source diversity. Generation 3 Streaming network cards process incoming signals via WLAN and LAN, allowing HV Series streamers to access streaming services like Deezer, Qobuz, and Tidal, as well as play local network files up to 192/24 (HD), and even stream from mobile devices via Connect services or AirPlay in audiophile quality.

In addition to the convenient Connect features, every streaming-enabled HV device also offers the ability to play uncompressed FLAC files via Bluetooth aptX HD technology. A true milestone in T+A's history is the ASA G3's ability to natively stream DSD files directly from the network for the first time. To ensure the highest possible playback quality, this stream is passed to the T+A True 1-Bit DAC, which processes DSD files in their native bitstream without any loss of quality.

This way, a wide range of easily accessible sources is combined with the exceptional audio quality that has always distinguished T+A.

Thanks to the aptX HD™ technology used in the MP 200 G3, mobile data transmission is no longer an obstacle to high audio quality: despite the limited bandwidth of Bluetooth, the system can also handle uncompressed Flac files.

Digital inputs

The MP 200 G3's digital connection card features two S/P DIF digital inputs and an optical input, allowing you to connect any external source, including decoders, disk drives, and storage devices. An additional S/P DIF output is also available. Signal transfer and processing are performed in HD quality.

Control system

The app control system offers full control over every aspect of the MP 200 G3, including access to streaming services and radio stations, as well as fine-tuning each device connected to the system. The MP 200 G3 and the T+A MusicNavigator app, developed here in Herford, offer convenient and comprehensive control via any iOS or Android device.

The front panels of the 200 Series devices have been designed to be ergonomically efficient, with a clever combination of direct access buttons and a push-button rotary knob.

Radio and CD

In addition to Internet radio access, which is an integral part of the MP 200 G3's streaming client, the device offers three additional radio access modes: FM, FM-HD, and DAB+. The unit's high sensitivity to incoming signals is partly responsible for its superb audio quality, but the digital intermediate frequency output, demodulation, and stereo decoder stages also play a key role. It's only the intelligent combination of all these qualities that makes the most classic of all signal sources so exceptional, whether via cable or antenna.

Although digital streaming content has now gained a dominant position in the audio world, we continue to work tirelessly on the development of our CD mechanisms: only in this way can we maintain a position that allows us to offer our customers maximum freedom in selecting their favorite music sources. The dimensions of the MP 200 G3's integrated CD mechanism were specifically designed to fit the available space in the MP 200 G3, where it fits perfectly into the case. Thanks to its short access times and excellent error correction, resulting from further development, it plays the disc content with virtually no delay once the CD is inserted and operates without any playback errors.
