Indiana Line Lira 7 is the center speaker designed to complete Indiana Line Lira home theater systems, delivering particularly clear and natural reproduction of dialogues, voices and cinematic soundtracks. Its 2-way design uses two 150 mm Curv-cone midwoofers and a 28 mm aluminium-magnesium alloy dome tweeter, combining high dynamics, transparency and convincing vocal articulation.
Like the other models in the Lira family, Lira 7 is developed according to the Symbiotic Drive design philosophy, which treats drivers, cabinet and crossover as a single electroacoustic system. This approach allows the speaker to achieve tonal consistency with the other Lira models, an essential characteristic when the center channel is integrated into a multichannel system.
The Symbiotic Drive concept is at the foundation of the entire Lira series. In Lira 7, the drivers, cabinet and crossover have been developed together to achieve coherent electroacoustic behaviour and seamless integration between the different frequency ranges.
This characteristic is particularly important for a center speaker, where accurate voice reproduction and tonal continuity with the front speakers are fundamental to the credibility of the cinematic soundstage.
The MDF cabinet features a slightly rearward-angled 21 mm front baffle and internal bamboo reinforcements. This structure helps reduce unwanted resonances while improving the time alignment of the drivers relative to the listening position.
The high-frequency section is handled by a 28 mm tweeter with an aluminium-magnesium alloy dome. The driver uses the 3D-Guide waveguide combined with the EQ-Ring phase corrector, a solution designed to broaden and smooth dispersion while improving response consistency away from the main listening axis.
The hybrid rear chamber helps control resonances generated behind the dome, while the neodymium motor provides effective driver control. A copper cap integrated into the magnetic assembly also contributes to thermal stability and distortion reduction.
The combination of waveguide, phase corrector and LC-Trap filter allows the speaker to deliver detailed and precise high frequencies without compromising integration with the vocal range.
Lira 7 uses two 150 mm midwoofers with Curv diaphragms, arranged symmetrically around the tweeter. The particular structure of Curv combines rigidity and internal damping, providing dynamic and precise reproduction of the mid and lower frequencies.
The midwoofers feature aerodynamically designed die-cast aluminium baskets and ferrite magnetic systems with triple shorting rings. This configuration allows accurate inductance control and contributes to reducing distortion.
The second-generation Dual-Wave surround extends the linear operating range of the drivers, improving midrange articulation while maintaining control during the most dynamic passages of movie soundtracks.
The 2-way crossover has been developed to ensure a precise transition between the midwoofers and tweeter. Its components include air-core inductors, polypropylene capacitors and non-inductive resistors.
The topology has been optimized to limit phase shifts between the drivers. Dedicated LC-Trap filters also contribute to smoothing the high-frequency response.
The result is coherent and well-organized reproduction, particularly important for maintaining dialogue intelligibility even during scenes characterized by high dynamic energy.
The bass-reflex system with rear-firing port has been carefully tuned to provide a solid foundation for the lower frequencies. The rear-firing port can take advantage of acoustic reinforcement from the wall behind the speaker, contributing to full and dynamic reproduction.
Lira 7 is designed to particularly enhance the vocal range, delivering clear and well-focused dialogue while retaining the dynamic capability required to reproduce sound effects and cinematic soundtracks with energy.
Used together with Lira 2, Lira 5 and the other speakers in the family, Lira 7 makes it possible to build a home theater system characterized by consistent tonal balance. The shared driver technology, Symbiotic Drive concept and crossover design help maintain a homogeneous presentation as sounds move between the different channels.
The compact horizontal design also makes it easy to position the speaker below or above the screen, maintaining a clean appearance that coordinates naturally with the rest of the series.
