The TEAC UD-507 is a product that combines innovation, quality, and versatility in a single device. It integrates a high-quality USB DAC, an advanced preamplifier, and a powerful and refined headphone amplifier, designed to cater to the most demanding audiophiles, promising to deliver a superior sound experience thanks to a mix of technical innovations and impeccable design.
It features an elegant and minimalist design, characterized by a brushed aluminum chassis in black and built with robust construction, paying great attention to details that reflect the product's premium quality. The OLED display on the front offers clear visualization of track information and configuration settings.
TEAC's modular approach allows the UD-507 to be used not only as a central element in a hi-fi system but also as a dedicated headphone amplifier. Moreover, its compact dimensions make it ideal for environments where space is precious, without compromising on audio quality.
The heart of the TEAC UD-507 is a discrete TRDD 5 DAC, one for each channel, which supports resolutions up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM and DSD512 (22.4 MHz), as well as being compatible with lossless audio formats such as FLAC, ALAC, and WAV.
Based on a dual mono configuration, this architecture ensures excellent stereo separation, reduced noise, and extraordinary dynamics.
The integrated amplifier then utilizes TEAC-HCLD2 technology, a proprietary high-current delivery circuit that allows for easy driving of high-impedance headphones, offering balanced output power and detailed sound even at low volumes. It also features balanced 4-pin and 5-pole Pentaconn headphone outputs.
The UD-507 also has two coaxial and optical digital inputs, as well as RCA and XLR analog inputs, allowing it to be used not only as a USB DAC but also as a high-quality analog preamplifier. Moreover, the ability to precisely adjust the volume level makes it a key element in stereo configurations.
It's also worth noting the presence of an external clock input for connecting a superior clock and the Bluetooth version 4.2 connectivity that supports the most advanced codecs such as LDAC, LHDC, Qualcomm aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and SBC, allowing up to 8 devices to be paired.
