At the core of the design lies MOON’s sophisticated in-house developed transport mechanism mounted on the exclusive M-Quattro 4-point gel-based floating suspension system. This advanced solution dramatically reduces vibrations and resonances, improving reading accuracy, jitter reduction and retrieval of low-level musical information.

The 260DT operates as a pure audiophile CD transport equipped with AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital outputs for connection to high-end external DACs. The 260D version additionally incorporates a 32-bit asynchronous DAC with USB, optical and coaxial digital inputs, allowing operation as a standalone DAC for external digital sources.

The integrated DAC supports PCM signals up to 24-bit / 192 kHz and employs proprietary circuitry optimised for maximum tonal naturalness, extremely low noise floor and outstanding dynamic precision. The USB input also features galvanic isolation to eliminate ground currents and preserve digital signal integrity.

The oversized linear power supply employs up to 13 stages of voltage regulation, including 5 dedicated to the transport and 8 dedicated to the DAC section, contributing to exceptional stability, ultra-low noise and refined sonic performance.
