SVS SB-3000 R|Evolution - 13" Sealed Active Subwoofer

The SVS SB-3000 R|Evolution represents a new generation of high-performance subwoofers, developed to deliver an exceptional combination of depth, power, precision and speed. Thanks to its new 13-inch high-excursion driver, powerful STA-1200D2 amplifier delivering 1,200 watts RMS and sophisticated 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP, the SB-3000 R|Evolution reaches a frequency response of 17 Hz to 230 Hz ±3 dB, delivering deep, physical bass while maintaining the precision required for demanding music reproduction.

New 13" High-Excursion SVS Driver

The heart of the SB-3000 R|Evolution is a completely redesigned 13-inch high-excursion SVS driver, engineered to achieve extremely high output levels while maintaining very low distortion and precise control over cone movement.

The cone is manufactured from pure 1100 aluminium, a lightweight and rigid material that provides a neutral radiating surface and excellent linearity even during demanding high-excursion operation.

The external SBR surround allows extremely long excursion while maintaining precise cone control. The motor assembly uses toroidal ferrite magnets engineered to maximize magnetic force and linearity.

Flat-Edge Split-Wind Voice Coil

One of the key innovations of the new driver is the Flat-Edge Split-Wind voice coil, designed to optimize magnetic force during high excursions while keeping moving mass under control.

This architecture allows the driver to produce powerful and visceral bass without sacrificing transient speed and precision. The voice coil uses a 2-inch aluminium former that also contributes to efficient thermal management during demanding operation.

The driver is mounted in a FEA-optimized cast aluminium basket, providing exceptional structural rigidity and accurate energy transfer.

Dual Toroidal Ferrite Magnet Motor

The motor assembly uses two large Y30 toroidal ferrite magnets, engineered to provide substantial magnetic force and excellent linearity throughout the driver's excursion range.

295 MHz Analog Devices DSP

The SB-3000 R|Evolution incorporates an advanced 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP, providing significantly greater processing capability than previous SVS generations.

The DSP uses 56-bit double-precision filtering and continuously monitors important operating parameters including driver excursion and current. This allows the system to optimize the relationship between amplifier and driver in real time.

The result is outstanding control, consistency and reliability even when the subwoofer is operating at very high output levels.

Premium DAC and Over 120 dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio

The digital signal path incorporates premium DAC technology with a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 120 dB. This provides excellent dynamic range and an extremely low noise floor.

Rigid Sealed Cabinet

The cabinet is constructed from high-density MDF with extensive internal bracing designed to minimize unwanted vibrations and resonances even at reference listening levels.

Internal acoustic damping material further contributes to the cabinet's inert acoustic behaviour, while the extra-thick non-resonant ABS grille protects the driver without introducing significant acoustic coloration.

Iso-Elastomer Feet

The integrated iso-elastomer feet are designed to reduce the transmission of vibrations into the floor and surrounding structure while improving the stability of the subwoofer.

This contributes to cleaner and more controlled bass reproduction and helps minimize unwanted mechanical interaction with the listening environment.

SVS Subwoofer Control App

The SVS Subwoofer Control App provides comprehensive wireless control of the SB-3000 R|Evolution via Bluetooth directly from the listening position.

The application is compatible with Apple iOS, Google Android and Amazon Fire devices and allows the user to adjust volume, phase, polarity, parametric equalization, Room Gain and other DSP parameters.

Up to six parametric EQ filters are available, together with three memory presets that allow different configurations to be stored for music, movies, night listening or other applications.

SVS Auto EQ

The new generation also introduces SVS Auto EQ, designed to simplify the process of optimizing the subwoofer for the listening environment.

The system analyzes the room response using the smartphone microphone or an optional external microphone and calculates the appropriate equalization filters to improve overall response.

This allows room-related peaks, cancellations and other acoustic irregularities to be addressed, providing a more balanced and consistent low-frequency response.

RCA and Balanced XLR Inputs

The SB-3000 R|Evolution offers an extensive connection panel with both unbalanced RCA inputs and balanced XLR inputs.

The XLR connection is particularly useful in high-end Hi-Fi systems and professional installations, especially when longer signal cables are required and maximum immunity from interference is desired.

The rear panel also provides a 3-12 V AC/DC trigger input, a 3.5 mm IR input and a USB port for powering the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter.

The rear panel features a high-resolution OLED display and dedicated control interface, allowing the main settings to be adjusted directly from the subwoofer.
