SVS 3000 In-Wall - In-Wall Active Subwoofer

The SVS 3000 In-Wall brings SVS subwoofer performance directly into the wall, delivering deep, powerful and remarkably controlled bass without taking up valuable floor space. It is designed for high-end Home Cinema, Hi-Fi and custom installation systems where acoustic performance and discreet aesthetics must coexist without compromise.

The system features two active 9-inch high-excursion drivers housed in an extremely rigid, low-profile sealed enclosure, combined with the powerful Sledge STA-800D2C 800-watt RMS amplifier, capable of delivering more than 2,500 watts of dynamic peak power.

The result is a frequency response of 22-250 Hz ±3 dB, with in-room extension down to approximately 19 Hz, an impressive achievement considering the extremely compact format and fully concealed installation.

SVS Performance in an In-Wall Design

The 3000 In-Wall was developed to solve one of the main challenges of custom installation: achieving true high-end subwoofer performance without sacrificing room space or aesthetics.

Once installed, the subwoofer is virtually invisible. The magnetic front grille is acoustically transparent and paintable, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the wall and surrounding décor.

The enclosure is designed to fit between standard wall studs, while the mounting system allows installation both in existing rooms and during new construction.

Dual 9" Active Drivers

At the heart of the system are two front-firing 9-inch active drivers, specifically engineered for the In-Wall format.

The drivers use lightweight and rigid aluminium cones, combining high structural rigidity, low moving mass and efficient thermal management.

The motor and suspension design enables extremely high excursion for drivers of this size, reaching 23.4 mm Xmax and 29 mm Xmech for each driver.

The proprietary Long-Throw suspension, optimized using FEA analysis, maintains extremely controlled cone movement even at high excursion levels, contributing to powerful, fast and precise bass reproduction.

Oversized High-Current Motor System

The two drivers use a high-power Y30 ferrite motor system, designed to generate substantial magnetic flux and maintain precise driver control during the most demanding passages.

The motor structure has been optimized for efficient mechanical and thermal energy management, an especially important consideration for a subwoofer installed inside a wall.

A 6061 aluminium shorting ring contributes to improved magnetic linearity, reduced gap inductance and lower distortion.

Sledge STA-800D2C Amplifier

The dedicated amplifier is the Sledge STA-800D2C, developed by SVS using technologies derived from its higher-end subwoofer platforms and adapted specifically to the requirements of an In-Wall installation.

The Class D power section uses high-current discrete MOSFETs and can deliver 800 watts RMS of continuous power and more than 2,500 watts of dynamic peak power.

The amplifier is supplied in a separate 2U rack-mount format, simplifying installation while keeping the electronics easily accessible even when the subwoofer itself is completely integrated into the wall.

50 MHz Analog Devices DSP

System control is handled by a sophisticated 50 MHz Analog Devices DSP with 56-bit processing.

The DSP allows the subwoofer response to be optimized for the listening environment and the rest of the system, with adjustment of parameters including low-pass filter, phase, polarity, Room Gain and parametric equalization.

The system also provides three customizable presets, which can easily be recalled through the SVS app to adapt the subwoofer to different listening conditions.

SVS Subwoofer Control App

The SVS Subwoofer Control App allows complete control of the 3000 In-Wall directly from a smartphone using Bluetooth BLE.

The application is compatible with Apple iOS, Google Android and Amazon devices and allows adjustment of volume, crossover frequency, phase, polarity, Room Gain and parametric equalization.

All adjustments can be made directly from the listening position, without needing physical access to the amplifier installed in the rack or to the subwoofer concealed inside the wall.

Sealed, Acoustically Inert Cabinet

To achieve high performance from such a compact enclosure, SVS developed an extremely rigid structure combining aluminium and MDF.

The front and rear panels are constructed from 2.5 mm thick aircraft-grade aluminium, while the frame uses 18 mm MDF.

The enclosure also incorporates extensive internal bracing to eliminate unwanted vibration and resonance, even when both drivers are operating at very high sound pressure levels.

Extremely Low-Profile Installation

One of the major advantages of the 3000 In-Wall is its exceptionally shallow profile.

The system is designed for installation inside walls using standard studs and occupies very little space, providing high-end subwoofer performance without the presence of a large visible cabinet in the room.

The complete system with grille has a depth of just 34 mm, while the in-wall enclosure itself has a depth of 95 mm.

Flexible Installation

The subwoofer can be mounted using the dog-leg mounting system or directly to the wall studs using the dedicated mounting points.

It is suitable for both existing-room installations and new construction. For new construction, an optional Pre-Construction Kit is also available separately.

Connection is straightforward thanks to the dedicated speaker-wire terminals and RCA connections on the amplifier.

Paintable Magnetic Grille

The front grille is made from non-resonant metal mesh and attaches magnetically to the subwoofer.

The surface is paintable, allowing the 3000 In-Wall to match the colour of the wall and making the subwoofer virtually invisible once installation is complete.

Advanced Thermal Management

Thermal management has been specifically engineered for a product designed to operate inside a wall.

The drivers use motor systems and structures designed to promote heat dissipation, while the Sledge amplifier uses highly efficient Class D technology to minimize heat generation.
