IsoAcoustics' Orea series of isolators provide extraordinary levels of isolation for audio components such as amplifiers and high-fidelity turntables. The application of the patented IsoAcoustics offers the highest degree of vibration isolation and innovative management of the energy produced by the components and in the room.

The Orea series is based on the patents used in the famous Aperta and Gaia series and was also featured in the latest January 2022 issue of Stereo+ magazine and received the Product Of The Year award for 2021-2022.

What are Orea insulators for? The removal of parasitic vibrations from the body of various amplifiers, DACs, CD players, turntables and more leads to new levels of clarity and openness of sound.

Correct operating weight of the different IsoAcoustics Orea models

The Orea family consists of 4 different models, each one able to best support a different weight. Naturally, several units will be placed under each electronics. The total supported weight will be the sum of the single capacity of the individual Oreas. We will see below, on this page, some examples. The weight capacity for each IsoAcoustics Orea isolator is as follows:

Orea Graphite – 1.8 Kg maximum load per single insulator

Orea Bronze – 3.6 kg maximum load per single insulator

Orea Indigo – 7.2 kg maximum load per single insulator

Orea Bordeaux – 14.4 kg maximum load per single insulator

One insulator at a time...

IsoAcoustics Orea isolators are designed to be used in various configurations to accommodate the weight of the specific component or loudspeaker. The total weight capacity that can be supported by a certain number of insulators is very simple and is calculated as follows:

Total weight capacity that can be loaded = [Maximum weight per insulator] x [Amount of insulators]

For example, using 4 pieces of Orea Indigo the maximum loadable weight will be = 7.2 x 4 = 28.8 Kg and therefore we can place a 28.8 Kg electronics on 4 Indigo insulators. It is essential to remember that exceeding the recommended weight leads to a drastic reduction in the effectiveness of the decoupling.

It is common to use 3 or 4 IsoAcoustics Orea isolators for each component or loudspeaker. It is good to keep in mind – or remember again – that it is very important to stay within the weight capacity of the Orea insulator. Better to use a fifth or sixth component to support very high weights, rather than see the sought-after insulation effect nullified.

Easy installation

The weight distribution of the component can also be taken into consideration. For example, if the component is heavier at the rear, it is possible and recommended to use three isolators, two of which positioned at the rear corners and one positioned centrally in front.

The Orea Series is sold in single insulator packages, to allow for greater flexibility in determining how many units to use.

The top flange of the Orea is designed to provide a cup-like effect and adhere to the bottom of the component, while the bottom flange adheres to the support surface. All energy is managed within the core of the Orea insulators, which are crafted and tuned to operate within specific weight ranges.

The use of Orea isolation feet results in greater clarity of sound and a more open soundstage, an authentic three-dimensional sound.

The pre-existing feet of an audio component may well connect and fit within the perimeter of the Orea isolators. Alternatively, better performance can be achieved by removing the feet entirely and placing the body or chassis of the turntable or DAC directly on top of the Oreas.

IsoAcoustics Orea Graphite - insulator up to 1,8 Kg

Orea Graphite is the smallest of the models in the Orea family and is designed to optimize the decoupling of lightweight components such as (separate) motorless turntables and CD players. By eliminating the resulting parasitic vibrations, Orea isolators help the entire system perform at its best, increasing sonic clarity and focus. The Graphite model has been studied in such a way that three or four components can support a weight between 3 and 7.2 kg of weight. This feature makes it clear that the candidate components to be supported are: small amplifiers, DACs, CD players, compact speakers and turntables. Made of stainless steel, Graphite is the smallest model in the series and raises your electronics by a few centimeters.

Each unit of Orea Bronze can withstand up to 1.8K and beyond this weight it loses its decoupling properties. Orea Graphite is recognizable by the dark gray colored ring (graphite!) on the lower edge which distinguishes it from its older brothers.

The Bronze model is ideal for lighter components including amplifiers, DACs, CD players, speakers and turntables. Crafted from machined stainless steel, Orea Bronze has a low-profile design to minimize any height gain and for ease of slotting into racks or furniture.

Each piece of Orea Bronze can carry up to 3.6 kg. It also features a colored ring on the bottom edge that denotes the model and weight capacity. We recommend a minimum of 3 units under each component, depending on weight.

Each IsoAcoustics Indigo insulator can carry up to 7.2 kg. Like each Orea model, the Indigo also features a colored ring on the bottom insulator that indicates the exact model and weight capacity. We always recommend a minimum of 3 units under each component, depending on weight.

IsoAcoustics Orea Bordeaux eliminates parasitic vibrations from HiFi components and provides greater clarity and focus of sound. Bordeaux's are ideal for heavier components including monoblock loudspeaker amplifiers, power conditioners and prestige turntables. Crafted from machined stainless steel, the Bordeaux has a low profile design to minimize any height gain.

Each Bordeaux can carry up to 14.5 kg and a colored ring on the lower insulator denotes the model and weight capacity. Orea series are always individually packaged to allow greater flexibility in determining the number of units to use.
