Consulenza e preventivi
Rega is a well-known hifi electronics manufacturer based in Essex, United Kingdom, very popular among audiophile enthusiasts, especially analogue enthusiasts, due to its highly regarded turntables, cartridges and tonearms, but this brand also produces other CD players, which, following the company's philosophy of gradually improving over time with targeted interventions, has led to the creation of the latest player called Rega Saturn MK III.
Already from the name it is understood that the brand new Saturn MK3 is a direct evolution of its predecessor of which it maintains the truly captivating aesthetic design, characterized by the top loading of the CD, but making major improvements at the circuit level with the use of even more reliable components, a perfected construction process and opening up to the future with the presence of a USB input.
Rega uses for this player the same galvanically isolated USB DAC input as its DAC-R, which has been further improved thanks to asynchronous operation and the achievement of sampling frequencies from 44.1 to 192 kHz, thus allowing you to enjoy of high resolution music.
This USB input uses the ASIO drivers when connected to the PC, to be downloaded before connecting it to the Windows PC, which will guarantee full possession of the signal management, completely canceling the signal functioning of the standard Windows drivers, so deleterious for listening as it causes noise and jitter, logically if connected to a Mac the connection can take place directly without downloading any drivers.
The Rega Saturn MK3 uses a brilliantly designed Wolfson WM8742 digital to analogue converter, but the single DAC while excellent needs worthy companions to deliver the performance it is capable of, and this in this player is ensured by the presence of a high-stability masterclock, a high-capacity power supply in the CD circuit, a high-performance PLL digital interface receiver, and a well-crafted power supply architecture in the DAC circuits.
Signal switching between CD and DAC is performed in the digital/analog conversion stage. The signal path of the CD section in CD mode is minimized. This CD player/DAC therefore offers complete flexibility thanks to both optical and coaxial inputs, and integrates into any system being essentially two products in one, i.e. a high quality transport and an independent DAC circuit, with both sections fully controllable at distance via the supplied Solaris remote control.
