The patented Servo Evolution mechanism was created with the intention of extracting the data deposited in a CD with the minimum possible error. 32-bit HD DAC

CDi is equipped with a high-level DAC – Burr Brown PCM1795 – 32 bit able to better manage the digital to analog conversion in the data stream coming from the disc. Cyrus' choice to equip the affordable models with the same components found in the higher models means that the CDi model offers the same excellent 32-bit DAC as the Preamplifier with HD DAC called DAC XP Signature. Using a 32-bit DAC allows for unrivaled detail and resolution. The CD is managed, read, analysed, reproduced with disarming fidelity.

Precision loading mechanics

Cyrus CD I contains the latest disc loading technology. The CD insertion technique is fast and has very little contact with the disc and is much better than the classic self-propelled drawer loading, not to mention that it eliminates the drawer's outgoing encumbrance making the aesthetics cleaner and more linear.</ p>

Connectivity

The Cyrus player is very versatile and offers an analog signal output as well as two digital outputs, one coaxial and one optical. Furthermore, Cyrus CD I can be connected to other Cyrus devices via the exclusive MC-BUS connection which allows management of the entire system, of the HiFi chain, with a single remote control. You can therefore combine this player, for example, with the Streamer Xa, with the integrated 8.2 DAC, or with pre+power amplifier PRE2DAC and STEREO 200… using only one remote control for everything.

Updateability and improvement

The Cyrus CD I circuitry has been designed in two completely isolated sections allowing the player to be upgraded using the PSX R2 power supply module. The addition of this external module completely isolates the DAC, improving timing and eliminating any intermodulation that could interfere with the delicate analog section. Although it is not necessary to obtain extraordinary performance, the cheapest and most effective way for a true audiophile to improve a HiFi system equipped with Cyrus components is precisely to equip as many modules as possible with PSX R2. This "plug and play" upgrade provides a separate, dedicated, highly stabilized power supply, simply perfect for taking Cyrus's uniqueness and audio excellence to a new level. The external power module decreases the load on the internal power supply and supplies an absolutely clean current base to all the electronics it powers, contributing to further lower the background noise.
