Astell&Kern's focus on producing immersive sound, suitable for reproducing music in high resolution is a testament to the spirit of innovation and excellence embodied in the A&ultima series. Our goal was to surpass the flawless design and high-resolution sound of our previous product, the SP3000, by creating an audio player that truly captures the emotion and vibration of the original sonic message.

Developed with this vision in mind, the A&ultima SP3000T channels the deep emotion and enduring essence of analog audio. The integration of a real valve creates an authentic analog sound complemented by cutting-edge audio technology such as TERATON ALPHA for an immersive & immersive hearing experience.

Introducing the A&ultima SP3000T, a portable audio player that challenges convention, offering a unique fusion of analog and digital excellence.

Original tubes are known for their warm sound, attributed to their distinctive rich harmonics, which cemented their status as a valuable component of Hi-Fi audio. However, the inability to create miniaturized versions, mainly due to problems in power control and size, has represented a formidable obstacle for decades, making this type of component unsuitable for use in portable audio players.

In Astell&Kern's constant research & innovation, we have not been satisfied with conventional sound and design, and have instead worked to bridge the gap between fixed and portable audio by infusing the essence of analog sound into our devices.

These efforts ultimately culminated in the pairing of the SP3000T with the RAYTHEON JAN6418 miniature valve. The RAYTHEON JAN6418 is a mini vacuum tube highly appreciated by audiophiles. Designed to meet military specifications and traditionally used in military communications equipment, it quickly gained recognition for its distinctively warm and smooth sound, prompting its integration into mainstream audio devices.
