Indiana Line Diva 5 is a solidly designed and built 2.5-way speaker, whose reference point is the popular Indiana Line Diva 552 floorstanding speaker.

However, the Diva 5 model, compared to its original counterpart, incorporates many upgrades that have led to a significant improvement in the quality of the sound it reproduces. These changes include the technical solutions, the components used and the finish of the speaker.

When using a pair of Indiana Line Diva 5 floorstanding speakers, you can effectively fill large rooms while ensuring low distortion sound.

The roots of the Indiana Line brand date back to 1977. Over the many years of presence on the market it has firmly established itself as one of the most important Italian brands in the audio sector.

Indiana Line's product offering consists primarily of speaker systems and built-in speakers. Indiana Line designers constantly aim to combine the highest production quality with a rational use of components.

The result is models that, in their respective product categories, are able to outperform speakers in the same price range.

DIVA – TOP SERIES IN A NEW LOOK

Among all the Indiana Line models, the Diva series speakers occupy a special place. This flagship product line perfectly combines elegant design with solid craftsmanship and excellent sound quality.

The models of the new Diva series are characterized by mechanically and acoustically inert cabinets and an elegant finish.

The front panel is painted with matte lacquer (white or black, depending on the color version), while the rest of the furniture is covered with PVC veneer.

Two color variants are available: a black body with a black front and an oak body with a white front.

ELEGANT CABINET WITH SLOPED FRONT

The Diva 5 column has a two-piece cabinet made of MDF.

One of the parts is the 30 mm thick front panel, which increases the mechanical stability of the housing and prevents unwanted resonances, significantly improving sound clarity.

The front part is slightly inclined backwards, with a shallower bottom and a deeper upper part, which gives the column a noble appearance as it rests on solid die-cast aluminum legs.

The Diva 5's eye-catching design is accentuated by the magnetically attached acoustically transparent canvas, which replaces the plastic pins previously used to attach the grille, as seen in previous Diva series speakers, including the Diva 552. /p>

IMPROVED SPEAKERS

Several changes have been made in the Diva 5 model compared to the speakers available in the previous Diva series.

In particular, the speaker baskets have been redesigned with more aerodynamic ribs, reducing air resistance behind the membrane and minimizing unwanted resonances.

These baskets have been specifically designed to work perfectly with the Dual-Wave suspension, ensuring both adequate function and exceptional aesthetics.

SOPHISTICATED CURVED MEMBRANES

In the Diva 5 2.5-way speaker, both the woofer and the mid-woofer are equipped with Curv membranes (polypropylene composite), which distinguish them from their counterparts in the Diva 552 model. This choice of materials in the woofer guarantees more neutral and precise management of low tones.

These particular membranes are produced exclusively for Indiana Line on special order.

COMPUTER-OPTIMIZED PARAMETERS

The magnetic systems in the woofer and mid-woofer have been optimized through finite element analysis (FEA), with the aim of improving their performance over a wide range of amplitudes and frequencies.

Furthermore, the inductance is linearized, as in many previous models of the Indiana line, using an Aluring demodulation ring. This element was used for both the medium-bass transducers and the woofers, obtaining a clearer and more articulate sound even at high volume, regardless of the musical genre being played.

ORIGINAL SUSPENSION DESIGN

A unique feature introduced for the first time in the Indiana Line speakers is Dual-Wave surround, present in both the woofers and midwoofers of the Diva 5 model.

This precision-engineered superior suspension extends the speaker's linear operating range, reducing distortion, especially in the deep bass registers, and improving midrange articulation.

This has a positive impact, particularly on the sound of percussion, strings and acoustic instruments.

The Dual-Wave solution also reduces irregularities in the frequency response due to diaphragm edge resonance, without the need for additional fittings.

The visually appealing design of the dual-wave transducers is reminiscent of a professional stereo equipment with the so-called pleated suspension.

INNOVATIVE SILK DOME TWEETER

Another novelty of the Indiana Line speakers, compared to those currently available on the market, is the design of the tweeter.

It incorporates a unique radial damping chamber in the form of a ring surrounding the coil, as opposed to the commonly used volume behind the dome.

This design ensures natural high-frequency sound and helps avoid unwanted resonances often associated with conventional designs.

The tweeter flange of the Diva 5 has also undergone significant changes, being a cast aluminum and featuring an optimally shaped rubber surface.

These changes help broaden the soundstage and fill the room more effectively with high frequencies.

COMPUTER-OPTIMIZED CROSSOVER

The crossover used in the Diva 5 model has been redesigned and optimized using computer simulations.

The circuit topology, the number of components and their parameters have been precisely matched to the speaker cabinet and transducers, resulting in a balanced frequency response, low distortion, low power losses and sound quality that has been validated through extensive listening tests.

The very simplified circuit topology as per Indian line tradition allows Diva 5 to perform well with virtually any amplifier.

AIR WOUND COILS AND PLASTIC FILM CAPACITORS

The tweeter filter system uses exclusively air coils and foil capacitors, eliminating potential distortions often associated with electrolytic capacitors or ferrite core coils. Where cored coils are used in the crossover, they are equipped with a high-silicon laminated iron core to minimize iron-core related distortion.
