iFi Go Link – Connect to Your Music

iFi Go Link lets you connect wired headphones and earphones to digital devices that don’t have a 3.5mm headphone output. Plus, even if your device has a headphone socket, the GO Link delivers a significant improvement in sound. This is thanks to its sophisticated DAC (digital-to-analog converter) and headphone amplifier circuitry, which are superior to audio technology found in smart devices and computers.

At one end of the GO Link is a USB-C connector, and at the other is the DAC and headphone amplifier circuitry, both housed in robust yet lightweight magnesium alloy cases. Between these two parts, a 6cm flexible cable improves convenience, allowing the DAC/amp section to be oriented towards the listener and reducing strain on the USB port to which the GO Link is connected.

At the heart of the GO Link is an ultra-high-performance DAC chip from ESS Technology’s Sabre HiFi series, the ES9219MQ/Q, which uses the 32-bit HyperStream III architecture. This chip is combined with Quad DAC+ and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator technologies. Furthermore, together with a dedicated proprietary clock circuit, which uses a specialized crystal oscillator, it manages to deliver ultra-low distortion, excellent clarity and impressive dynamic range.

A color-changing LED indicates the incoming audio format: PCM, DSD, or MQA, and PCM/DSD sampling.

The GO Link headphone amplifier feeds a gold-plated 3.5mm jack and features iFi Audio's proprietary S-Balanced configuration to reduce noise and crosstalk. It delivers 70mW of power at 32 ohms and 2.05V at 600 ohms, enough to drive most common headphones and earphones, far exceeding the headphone outputs built into smart devices and computers.

The Go Link features advanced jitter elimination technologies in the digital stage. These include a femto-precision Global Master Timing (GMT) clock and an intelligent memory buffer. This complete, ready-to-use digital solution eliminates jitter for good, crystal-clear sound.

In music production, dynamic range is the difference between the loudest and the quietest sounds, measured in decibels (dB). In an audio track, it is the difference in dB between the loudest and quietest moments.

The dynamic range of a system can be thought of as the space between the noise floor and the point of distortion. If a sound falls below the noise floor, it will be indistinguishable from the noise. If it exceeds the distortion point, the waveform is cut off abruptly, causing harshness and distortion.

Proprietary iFi technology extends the dynamic range by 6dB or more, enhancing the listening experience.

iFi’s exclusive S-Balanced® circuitry delivers maximum performance for both single-ended and balanced headphones.

TDK C0G (Class 1) ceramic capacitors provide high stability and low losses for resonant circuit applications.

TDK products are increasingly moving closer to the ideal of pure, constant-frequency capacitance, and with these capacitors they are able to reduce capacitor-induced distortion to virtually inaudible levels.
