Cyrus Classic AMP – Proudly Made in the UK Integrated Amplifier

The Cyrus Classic AMP is the latest updated version of the reference integrated amplifier of the Classic series which has been part of the portfolio of the historic English brand for over 10 years.

The goal of this latest version is to make a significant improvement over the previous versions, maintaining the look of the Classic line - rigorously with the unmistakable "half-width" design - and implementing all the new technologies derived from the XR Line .

All Cyrus products are designed, built and assembled in England, to maintain extremely high quality standards.

The Classic AMP includes a top-notch 3.5mm headphone output on the rear panel, capable of effortlessly driving any type of headphone and delivering great performance.

PSX-R2

The Classic AMP is predisposed, through a dedicated port / input, for the connection of the PSX-R2 power supply. Current is handled by the PSX-R2 and is sent directly to the internal analog stages of the preamplifier to provide a low-noise and extremely stable power supply to obtain the best performance from the analog preamp and post-DAC stages of the D/A converter. A true Up-Grade capable of clearly improving musical performance.

Low noise phono stage

The Phono Stage of the Classic AMP is the same used in the XR integrated amplifiers. It is derived from the Phono Signature, the top-of-the-range preamplifier capable of astounding for its performance. Featuring an exceptionally low noise floor and high dynamic range, this stage for MM cartridges features two active gain stages and passive RIAA equalization. Allows connection with high quality turntables, such as UltraDeck from the famous MoFi brand, an absolute reference in the world of vinyl.

High capacity feeder

The Classic AMP includes a 304 VA toroidal power transformer supported by a high-capacity supply that offers a large reserve of energy. The power supply of the preamplifier module is electrically separated from the power amplifier section and is fed by a dedicated transformer. The digital control circuits have been allocated an additional separate power module, completely isolated from the signal circuits.

Extreme versatility of connections

The Classic AMP boasts five high quality analog stereo RCA inputs, one of which is dedicated to the phono stage for MM cartridges. This integrated includes a high quality DAC capable of processing PCM files with resolutions up to 192 KHz. The digital inputs include 2 coaxial and 2 optical Toslink, ideal for connecting a transport-only CD player, such as the award-winning CDt.

The analog connections are completed by the PRE OUT output which allows connection to a power amp – such as the Stereo 200 or even Mono X 300 Signature – or to be able to manage a subwoofer to complete the listening experience.</p >

Tip: filtered AC current

In the HiFi listening chains, the various devices must be consistent with each other to get the best results. Amplifiers and delicate electronics should always be powered with possibly controlled and filtered electric current. Any noise induced by sudden changes in the home network or in the macro living area is reflected in voltage oscillations - even important and harmful to the device - which in the best case are detrimental to listening pleasure and the absolute performance of our devices . We strongly recommend the use of shielded power cords and good quality power strips with decent to good quality amplifiers and audio electronics. These improve the life and performance of the connected devices and also of the rest of the appliances in the house since they do not filter disturbances and discharges but, symmetrically, do not emit them. Toroidal electrical insulators for HiFi are also recommended to obtain the maximum in terms of listening and safety.
