Differences between the WiiM Amp and the WiiM Amp Pro
Post-Output Filter Feedback (PFFB)
Post-filter feedback (PFFB) is implemented by adding a secondary external feedback loop to the amplifier. This feedback loop uses a small portion of the amplifier output voltage signal after the LC filter and sends an error signal to the amplifier input. PFFB offers several advantages, including lower output noise, better THD+N performance, better IMD performance, lower output impedance, frequency response less affected by load impedance, and suppression of LC filter nonlinearities.
ESS ES9038Q2M DAC and TI OP AMP Op-Amp
The sophisticated ESS ES9038Q2M DAC and TI OP op-amp are employed, resulting in ultra-low distortion and wide dynamic range. It boasts a signal-to-noise ratio SNR of 120 dB (A-weighted) and a THD + N of -105 dB at 5W.
Latest generation wireless connectivity
In this Pro version, the connection technologies are Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth BT 5.3 (with BT LE audio support), which use a dual antenna to ensure perfect wireless audio streaming in both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Improved thermal dissipation
Designed with an innovative thermal dissipation system, which uses heat sinks made with an alloy of copper, aluminum and graphene. The audio performance is confirmed by the excellent TI TPA3255 class D amplifier, even in the most difficult thermal conditions.
