Roon is the most innovative listening experience.
It has been since the late '90s when Enno Vendermeer, founder and creator of Roon, developed the early version of the software and fine-tuned a system to run it, the Soolos, with a monitor, processor, and disk stack, physically bulky and extremely expensive. At the time, it was considered an absolute gamble. Many years have passed, and the market has proven Enno right: Roon has always been the best music management software, without rivals on the market, and now it is the absolute protagonist of quality playback.
There are many ways to use it in your HiFi system, and after having developed Nucleus and Nucleus+, two processors capable of supporting Roon software at various levels, Roon announces the introduction of Nucleus Titan, a high-performance server without compromises.
In short, it is a superior quality device, specifically designed for library management, music exploration, and playback in the best possible way.
Titan replaces Nucleus Plus and offers significantly improved hardware and performance, along with an extremely refined aesthetic: it is possible to choose between three customizable materials for the chassis - metal, stone, and wood - to create a truly unique server/streamer.
Under the hood, improvements have increased CPU performance by 36%, with high energy efficiency (37% more than Nucleus+), and an 80% increase in RAM speed and bandwidth.
The new thermal management system then combines a high-efficiency CPU heatsink with a fanless convection cooling system using a precision-machined billet aluminum enclosure, carved from a solid block of premium metal.
In terms of connectivity, there are two HDMI outputs, two USB-C, one USB-A 2.0, and one 3.0, in addition to the Ethernet input.
Regarding the finishes, the metal version is the one without a surcharge, while it is possible to purchase wood or stone covers as an accessory.
Nucleus Titan will be available starting from the second half of March.
