The new M Series represents a milestone for Matrix Audio, moving forward with traditional Hi-Fi systems. This series includes the MS-1 music streamer, the MP-1 preamplifier and the MA-1 power amplifier, forming a complete flagship system that reflects our vision of Hi-Fi audio.
This software system designed for Hi-Fi audio playback is based on Linux and optimized exclusively for Matrix Audio products. The new version further improves playback performance and introduces numerous features for a more advanced interactive experience.
The MA Remote app serves as the central tool for controlling the music streamers. It allows you to browse local music, listen to high-resolution music from platforms such as SONY Select, TIDAL, Qobuz and HIGHRESAUDIO and tune into online radio stations. Even when streaming from Roon or other apps, the app allows you to view song information and configure every detail of the hardware.
The internal asynchronous upsampling and DSD conversion engine processes all audio data in digital format, isolating jitter and enhancing details. DSD conversion increases the sound density, providing an optimal audio experience.
The MS-1 can act as an advanced audio transport, transmitting high-resolution signals through the IIS-LVDS port, including those from the analog and phono inputs.
Equipped with two line inputs and one phono input, the MS-1 integrates analog devices into the digital system. The phono preamp supports MM and MC modes, transforming analog signals into digital with precision. It also functions as a high-end DAC with USB, optical, coaxial and IIS-LVDS ports, connecting devices such as computers, CD transports and game consoles.
