With Edge, we take it a step further, using oppositely symmetrical twin toroidal transformers.

Cambridge Audio's unique Class XA amplifier topology delivers Class A sound quality with greater efficiency and less heat.

A bias voltage has been added to a traditional Class AB design to move the crossover point to a position where the distortion is not perceptible to the human ear.
