Grand Class - rigid chassis and direct drive manual turntable - evolution of what has always been unanimously recognized as the most iconic model in the history of direct drive turntables, the legendary Technics SL-1200 marketed in 1972 and established itself as an absolute reference in the music sector (Hi-Fi, professional, DJ), here declined in a Hi-Fi version, with astonishing design, engineering and construction quality - newly developed brushless DC direct drive Coreless motor, without iron core and with single rotor/single stator structure, supported by the cutting-edge and revolutionary Delta Sigma Drive PWM switching control technology, capable of minimizing harmonic distortions and vibrations, ensuring smooth and precise rotation, with consistent performance over time and capable of eliminating "cogging" phenomena, the rotation irregularities caused, in standard electric motors, by the interaction between the rotor magnets and the stator slot - latest-generation Multi-Stage Silent switching power supply circuit, free from mechanical vibrations, with a switching frequency greater than 100 kHz without induced noise, improved by an innovative system for detecting and actively eliminating any possible disturbance by applying a reverse-phase current capable of eliminating persistent noise - 10 mm thick, 2.5 kg heavy vibration-immune platter with a two-layer structure made of die-cast aluminum and shock-absorbing rubber, enhanced by additional reinforcing ribs on the rear part - robust chassis with internal metal shielding and a structure made of a two-layer frame, with a central body in die-cast aluminum and a base made of sections embedded in BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound) injection-molded polymers, topped by a 10 mm thick aluminum top panel - isolating feet made of special high-damping silicone rubber - gimbal suspension tonearm and universal static balance with an "S" profile made of very light aluminum alloy, equipped with high-precision bearings equipped with graduated instruments for height adjustment (VTA), antiskating and tracking force with counterweight, characterized by inimitable accuracy, practicality and tactile pleasure, assembled by hand - rotation speed at 33 1/3 RPM, 45 RPM and 78 RPM - high torque with lightning-fast start-up response, from standstill to 33 and 1/3 RPM in 0.7 seconds, and instantaneous electronically controlled braking system - oscillation and vibration deviations (wow & flutter) less than 0.025%, at the limits of measurable - apparatus for measuring and regulating the rotation speed and intonation (pitch), articulated by means of special instruments juxtaposed on the surface of the turntable: profile of the platter equipped with stroboscopic mirrors arranged in 4 rows, blue stroboscopic LED light incorporated in the power button and slide selector to set the value desired, choosing between the +/-8% or +/-16% ranges and with a reset button to return to the nominal rotation speed regardless of the slide selector position - removable pop-up cover with LED light to illuminate the platter in dark environments - auxiliary weight to extend the tonearm/cartridge compatibility - premium quality gold-plated Phono L/R RCA audio output connectors - dust cover, mat, EP record adapter, aluminium headshell with adjustable azimuth, overhang adjustment gauge, audio cable and earth cable included - Silver finish - dimensions (W x H x D) 453 x 173 x 372 mm - weight 11.5 kg
