The new turntable from the ART Collection range by Pro-Ject is dedicated to AC/DC, paying homage to their famous lightning bolt icon

After the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Metallica and Pink Floyd, it's time for AC/DC. The historic Australian rock band is in fact the protagonist of a new Pro-Ject turntable from the Art collection range in a limited edition.

This new model, handcrafted in Europe, blatantly recalls the shape of the lightning bolt in the band's logo and features a 10 mm thick translucent high-mass red glass platter, under which stands the hand-painted black MDF plinth. To embellish this already very original aesthetic, we find an LED ring positioned under the acrylic sub-platter that illuminates the entire belt drive unit.

Another key element is the transparent tonearm also in the shape of a lightning bolt, at the end of which has been inserted an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge already set and calibrated in the factory.

The 28mm thick MDF plinth offers good stability, but the stainless steel main bearing housed in a brass insert is also an element that demonstrates Pro-Ject's attention not only to aesthetics, but also to the care of the construction and internal components of the turntable.

According to Pro-Ject, the considerable weight of the platter also guarantees accurate playback of the record compared to lightweight plastic alternatives. Finally, note the three height-adjustable feet and the semi-symmetrical Connect it Phono E RCA cable included in the package, made with quality materials such as copper conductor for lossless signal transmission.
