Among the many tributes to the anniversary of Pink Floyd's famous album, Pro-Ject also wanted to contribute with a turntable that takes the shape of the album cover, for a special limited edition for collectors.
It continues to be one of the best-selling vinyl records since its first release in 1973, and Pro-Ject knows this very well. Therefore, the creation of the new limited edition Pro-Ject "The Dark Side of the Moon" turntable, a true collector's turntable, is well justified. There is practically nothing conventional about this model: the black lacquered MDF base has a triangular shape with a height of 28mm; the new 8.6" low resonance straight arm in transparent acrylic with black aluminum parts rests on a rainbow LED backlit base with variable brightness that reflects the design of the record cover. The supplied MM cartridge is a Pick It Pro in a special edition already assembled and calibrated in the factory while the anti-skating is of the spring type. Also noteworthy is the glass platter with a thickness of one centimeter and an aluminum counter platter with central steel pin and bronze bearing. As tradition Pro- Ject, the drive is belt driven with electronic speed control (33/45 rpm). The turntable is carefully handmade in Europe.
