The HiFi ROSE RSA780 is a CD drive designed to provide precise, stable and quiet disc reading, with particular attention to audiophile-quality CD ripping. It is the ideal companion for compatible HiFi ROSE Music Servers and Network Players, while it can also be used with Windows, macOS and Linux computers.
Its compact and robust construction, approximately 900 g weight and vibration-isolation system are designed to minimize unwanted movement during CD rotation. The adoption of a slot-in mechanism completes an elegant and functional design, perfectly suited to modern digital audio systems.
One of the key features of the RSA780 is its proprietary USB Isolation Technology. The drive and connected HiFi ROSE device are electrically isolated, helping to prevent potential interference on the USB data and power lines from affecting audio data transfer.
This solution is particularly valuable during CD ripping, when accurate reading of the information stored on the optical disc is essential for creating an accurate digital copy.
The RSA780 uses a high-mass construction and specially designed isolators to minimize vibrations generated by CD rotation. Its approximately 900 g weight helps keep the mechanism stable during operation, while the isolated base further reduces vibration transmission.
The slot-in loading system also allows the disc to be inserted quickly while maintaining an exceptionally clean and compact design.
The RSA780 is not simply a device for digital archiving: it can also be used for direct CD playback through compatible HiFi ROSE devices.
When connected to a compatible Music Server or Network Player, ROSE OS allows CDs to be imported using a simple and intuitive procedure. During ripping, the music library can be organized using album information, artist names, track titles and cover artwork, with the option to edit metadata.
Music can be stored in FLAC, compressed FLAC and WAV formats, making the RSA780 particularly suitable for anyone who wants to digitize a CD collection while preserving the original quality of the content.
The RSA780 was developed to integrate seamlessly with the HiFi ROSE ecosystem and can be connected to compatible devices such as the RS150, RS250 and RS201. Connection is made via USB Type-B, and the dedicated RSA705 USB 2.0 A-B cable with 7N OCC copper conductors is included.
The drive can also be connected to a Windows, macOS or Linux computer for use as an external CD drive with compatible software.
Measuring just 152 x 25 x 152 mm, the RSA780 takes up very little space and can be easily integrated into any audio system. Its Silver finish, aluminium chassis and characteristic minimalist HiFi ROSE design make it an elegant component that perfectly complements the other devices in the range.
The HiFi ROSE RSA780 is the ideal choice for anyone who wants to combine a CD collection with a modern digital music system. Its slot-in mechanism, high-mass construction, anti-vibration isolators and USB Isolation Technology provide stable and accurate reading, while integration with ROSE OS makes CD ripping simple and intuitive.
A dedicated accessory designed for enthusiasts who want to transform their CDs into an organized digital music library while maintaining a strong focus on quality and precision.
