The Canton GLE AR is a purpose-built floorstanding speaker with integrated upward-firing dome drivers for Dolby Atmos effects. It is essentially the most complete floorstanding model in Canton's popular GLE series. The newly updated GLE series is both technically impressive and aesthetically pleasing. The speakers feature new, acoustically neutral, black fabric grilles that protect from the elements while maintaining the series' elegance. The cabinets are made of genuine MDF and are available in two different colors (matte white or black). The grilles are now magnetic, making them more practical, and the new oval shape creates a softer look that blends in regardless of the listening environment. The high-quality, gold-plated monowiring terminals can handle speaker cables up to 10 mm², ensuring good conductivity and a long-lasting contact surface. Moving on to the technical innovations, the new GLE series uses titanium diaphragms for both the low- and mid-range cones, instead of aluminum. The new material ensures a faster response with deeper bass than before and improved control and precision, while the midrange is balanced and detailed thanks to the rigid and lightweight cone. All woofers, both front and rear, are made of titanium, and both sides feature 25 mm aluminum-manganese alloy dome tweeters. This particular speaker is perfect for HiFi stereo listening and also for home theater use as an excellent front-firing speaker thanks to the special custom crossover filter for achieving the right sound balance.
