MOON 461 – High-End Stereo Power Amplifier

The MOON 461 is a high-end stereo power amplifier designed to deliver a combination of power, control, precision and musical refinement. At the heart of the design is the proprietary MDCA – MOON Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier architecture, developed to reduce distortion and improve circuit linearity, allowing the signal to be reproduced with exceptional clarity and accuracy.

The 461 also uses two MOON Hybrid power supply modules, one dedicated to each channel. This dual-mono configuration helps achieve high channel separation, reduce crosstalk and ensure stable current delivery even when driving loudspeakers with demanding impedance characteristics.

With 150 W per channel into 8 Ohms, 300 W per channel into 4 Ohms and up to 450 W in bridged mono mode into 8 Ohms, the MOON 461 is designed to drive a wide range of High-End loudspeakers with authority.

Two Available Finishes

The MOON 461 is available in two elegant aesthetic configurations:

• Black – a completely black finish, elegant and discreet.
• 2-Tone – a two-tone configuration combining the characteristic MOON chassis with contrasting side panels.

Both finishes retain the same technical characteristics and amplifier performance.

MOON Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier Architecture

The heart of the MOON 461 is the proprietary MDCA – MOON Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier technology. This architecture was developed to minimize distortion and improve amplifier linearity, with the goal of keeping the musical signal as faithful as possible to the source.

MOON Hybrid Dual-Mono Power Supply

The high current-delivery capability also allows the amplifier to maintain effective loudspeaker control during demanding musical passages and with low-impedance loads.

Power and Mono Bridged Mode

In stereo configuration, the MOON 461 delivers 150 W per channel into 8 Ohms and 300 W per channel into 4 Ohms. Two units can also be operated in Bridged Mono mode, delivering up to 450 W into 8 Ohms from each amplifier.

This capability makes it possible to build particularly high-performance systems and further increase available power for large High-End loudspeakers or models with demanding drive requirements.
