Technical Features
Goldring EXTRACT Stylus Cleaning Kit, an essential tool kit for any vinyl enthusiast, offers everything you need to keep your turntable's stylus in pristine condition. Whether for routine daily maintenance or a deep clean, this kit ensures your delicate stylus remains in tip-top condition, without the risk of damage.
Magnifying Glass
With 10x magnification, the magnifying glass is the first and final step for a daily check or a thorough cleaning. With a compact and sturdy single-hinged design, the glass allows you to closely inspect the stylus for damage or contamination. After cleaning, you can use the glass for a follow-up examination to determine if further work is needed.
Anti-static Stylus Cleaning Brush
The turntable stylus inevitably attracts dust and lint during playback, and it's recommended to check it daily. If the stylus is contaminated with dried lint, use the anti-static stylus cleaning brush. Gently run the brush horizontally over the stylus, from back to front, using as little upward pressure as possible. The soft, anti-static bristles, featuring a strong, durable, lint-free pad, gently lift dried lint and dust.
Cleaning Gel Container
If further inspection reveals lint and sticky deposits still clinging to the stylus, use the cleaning gel container. Housed in a carefully designed container to ensure compatibility with any cartridge, this specially formulated gel is designed to remove the most stubborn residue while being gentle on the stylus and without compromising the bond between the stylus and cantilever.
To remove unwanted fibers, simply place the container on the turntable platter and lower the stylus onto the gel, lifting it again and repeating the process if necessary. All deposits are removed harmlessly, and the clear gel allows you to see the debris extracted.
The gel becomes less effective if it becomes contaminated over time. However, its integrity can be easily refreshed and maintained by rinsing it under water and letting it air dry.
