DESCRIPTION

The V5 Polaris is a compact cleaning and energy distribution bar, just 510mm long, 80mm wide and 50mm high. It has six individual sockets that lead back to the internal core board. Most power filters of this type combine power outlets with each other, connecting them in series. This is a misjudgment, as differential mode noise, created by the connected load (the audio components), will contaminate between the output jacks. The electrical architecture and design of the V5 Polaris prevent this phenomenon and are therefore superior.

The V5 Polaris features a unique delta filter topology, ten times higher than the recommended standard, which delivers over 20dB power cleanup at 1kHz (600 Ohm reference), then improved to 42dB at 10kHz. Most experts agree that at 10kHz Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) starts to affect performance. This is also related to the ability of amplifiers to reject power supply noise. Electrical engineering ensures world-class cleaning performance for both common-mode (RFI) and differential-mode network noise. The printed circuit board (PCB) also has double the copper load as standard and is silver plated.

This unique circuit supplies clean power to the six power outlets, each of which is independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination of mains noise in differential mode. This circuit is combined with IsoTek's KERP© (Kirchhoff's Equal Resistance Path) to ensure equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets. The internal wiring is of the highest standard, with a unique 2mmq design and 6n oxygen free pure copper conductors, all silver plated, offering low resistance and high amperage. An aerospace grade fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) dielectric, with very low dielectric strength, is used to protect the conductors and to provide an ideal contact dielectric for the internal power system.

Furthermore, in the new V5 version the instantaneous protection is increased to 45'000A, which not only protects the circuit, but also safeguards the precious connected equipment thanks to IsoTek's exclusive sequential and repeatable protection system.

The V5 Polaris also contains a System Link socket, designed to link multiple units together, maintaining a wye earth reference and avoiding the need for multiple wall sockets.

A wall bracket system is also included, allowing you to easily mount the product behind your audio equipment rack if desired.

The internal wiring of IsoTek products is in synergy with the IsoTek range of power cables. A critical but overlooked area in audio is maintaining a commonality of design and material properties in an audio cabling loom, whether it is a signal carrying cable or a network of diet.
