Cyrus One HD, integrated amplifier with HD DAC and App

The Cyrus One HD is an integrated amplifier with high definition DAC and dedicated App for iOS and Android. One HD starts from the excellent performance of the acclaimed Cyrus One, improving its dynamic behaviour, updating protocols and increasing its versatility thanks to the additional digital module. The internal circuitry and the phono stage have also been improved and the amplification section now uses the Cyrus 4th generation Hybrid Class D, initially developed for the powerful high-end integrated amplifier. New digital inputs are now housed in the Cyrus One HD, including an asynchronous USB input. The Bluetooth module is now aptX HD, allowing wireless streaming of up to 24/48-bit high-definition audio from compatible devices. Technical characteristics

The Cyrus One HD amplifier uses a linear power supply with a huge toroidal transformer and a capable filter bank to serve the final 4th generation hybrid class D amplifier section. The result is a powerful amplifier with low distortion, with a very low noise floor and capable of 100 W per channel "true" into 6 Ohms and a peak current of 70 Amps.

Speaker Impedance Detection (SID) is an intelligent technology that was first designed on the Cyrus Lyric all-in-one. Each time the amplifier is turned on, it detects the impedance of the connected speakers (cables included) and adjusts its output response according to the detected electrical load of the speakers. This feature allows you to get the most out of any speaker you choose to pair with the Cyrus One HD, greatly reducing speaker matching problems and always ensuring the best electrical interfacing.

Personal Listening

By connecting your own headphones to the Cyrus One HD amplifier the power and power section is dedicated to the headphone output, making the Cyrus One HD an extremely capable, powerful and high power headphone amplifier. It is therefore able to drive high-impedance and high-quality headphones without the need for a dedicated (stand-alone) headphone amplifier, not typical for an amplifier of this range.

Extremely versatile inputs

There are optical (TVC – Apple TV – Chromecast…) and coaxial (digital sources such as CD Player) digital inputs and an asynchronous USB input for PC streaming. For wireless music delivery, aptX HD Bluetooth supports up to 24-bit/48kHz wireless high-definition audio streaming (beyond CD quality) from any Bluetooth-enabled device such as compatible phones, tablets or laptops. analog preamp for connecting additional amplification or a subwoofer, the Cyrus One HD also has a dedicated AV connection (whose fixed level can be adjusted via the free Android/iOS app) for incorporation into multi-channel/Home Theater systems. On the analog side, the Cyrus One HD amplifier provides three inputs, plus a high-quality MM phono stage, which has now been isolated on its own dedicated circuitry.

Always at the best and updated

All firmware updates can be performed by simply connecting the Cyrus One HD to a PC via USB. In this way I would always be sure of having an updated, performing and modern system. Always at maximum sound performance.

Tip: Filtered AC current

In the HiFi listening chains, the various devices must be consistent with each other to get the best result. Amplifiers and delicate electronics should always be powered with possibly controlled and filtered electric current. Any noise induced by sudden changes in the home network or in the macro living area is reflected in voltage oscillations - even important and harmful to the device - which in the best case are detrimental to listening pleasure and the absolute performance of our devices . We strongly recommend the use of shielded power cords and good quality power strips with decent to good quality amplifiers and audio electronics. These improve the life and performance of the connected devices and also of the rest of the appliances in the house since they do not filter disturbances and discharges but, symmetrically, do not emit them. Toroidal electrical insulators for HiFi are also recommended to obtain the maximum in terms of listening and safety.
