Hifight is pleased to present Volumio Rivo: the pure Streamer with great versatility, practicality, and excellent sound quality of the proudly Made in Italy company. Developed and created in the Florence office, it is equipped with the Volumio 3 operating system and can be managed by the exclusive Manifest interface which allows simple and intuitive management of the musical contents. Rivo is a Bit-perfect player – i.e. without any digital signal processing – capable of offering great stability and fluidity in music reproduction.

Just connect it to the DAC of our system or directly to our integrated amplifier with DAC and that's it!

Rivo supports every digital format: DSD, WAV, FLAC, Alac, Aac, Mp3 and many others. Thanks to its architecture, it offers uncompromising audio performance together with extreme ease of use. The possibilities are endless from e CD playback (using a separately connected USB external CD player/recorder), to TuneIn tuner for Web Radio, UPNP/DLNA and CIFS/SMB and NFS support.

Volumio Rivo allows you to take advantage of all liquid music management services at the maximum resolution available.

Great performance, ease of use

The chassis, shared with other Volumio electronics, was designed by Design Narratives and is made of anti-magnetic aluminum; in the center of the front panel is a status LED and a power button.

Connectivity with the main streaming platforms is also guaranteed, such as Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Airplay and plug-ins are available for Youtube, Squeezelite, Radio Paradise, Podcast, Pandora, Fusion DSP, Roon Bridge, Soundcloud, Mixcloud and many others in development phase. Last but not least, the Multi-Room functionality with other Volumio products, to create an integrated environment within your home.

At the core of Volumio Rivo's architecture is simplicity, and it has been achieved by the cleanest possible digital signal path without any unnecessary phases. The 24 MHz internal clock is generated by a high stability crystal. In addition to this, the filtering and isolation have been meticulously engineered using multiple copper grain oriented 1:1 OFC transformers, which ensure galvanic isolation of the digital outputs (SPDIF and AES/EBU). The power supply is separate for each section, and in particular, one dedicated to the internal clock which has its own stabilizer.

Before powering the circuits, a filtering section was provided, based on a chain of inductors and electrolytic capacitors with suitably developed cells. In addition to the USB port dedicated to connecting a DAC, many other outputs are available: a coaxial SPDIF, an AES/EBU and an HDMI video for Volumio's OSD menus. As for the inputs, there is a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver, as well as WiFi and Ethernet connectivity.

Rivo is a very high quality streamer and perfect complement for those who want to enjoy liquid music in very high resolution.

You can connect Rivo to your integrated amplifiers with integrated DAC; the perfect partner is with the Hegel integrated line, famous for their quality in terms of power, dynamics and transparency: starting from H95 up to the legendary H390 and H590.

Chord Electronics undoubtedly offers the best DACs in the world, and Rivo supplies them with a high level stremer: starting from the most compact DACs like Qutest and Hugo 2, up to the reference DAC: Dave.

The right cable makes all the difference!

If you remove the cables from the system… well it won't play! This demonstrates that they are a fundamental part and therefore their quality is reflected in the performance of the final result. To ensure proper performance, we recommend the use of signal cables from the Chord Company Clearway or Shawline line, famous for the clarity and detail they are capable of. Signal cables of the same line provide protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio frequency interference (RFI), more so with regard to Ethernet cable, for this we recommend Clearway Stream or alternatively Shawline Stream.

To provide sound to the TV, it requires a Toslink optical cable connection: remember to set the PCM function to have the audio signal in Stereo mode.

Every voltage surge in our home network is potentially harmful to our equipment, causing the so-called "noise" especially in Hi Fi electronics. For this reason, the use of shielded power cables and good quality power strips is a good solution to improve not only the performance but also the life of the connected devices.
