Description

The V5 Gemini is a compact electrical distribution and cleaning bar measuring just 270mm long, 80mm wide and 50mm high. It features two individual sockets; these reference the central internal PCB. Most power filters of this type combine power outlets, running each in series connection. This is a misjudgment as differential mode noise, created by the connected load (the audio components), will cause cross-contamination between the power outlets. The electrical architecture and design of the V5 Gemini prevent this and is therefore superior.

The V5 Gemini features a unique delta filter topology, ten times higher than the recommended standard, delivering over 20dB power cleanup at 1kHz (600 Ohm reference), which is then enhanced to 42dB at 10kHz . Most experts agree that 10 kHz is the point where radio frequency interference (RFI) starts to affect performance. This is also related to the amplifier's ability to reject power supply noise. This electrical engineering ensures class-leading power cleaning performance for both common-mode (RFI) and differential-mode mains noise. Even the printed circuit board (PCB) itself has double the standard copper load and is silver plated.

This unique circuit provides clean power to its two output sockets, each independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination of mains noise in differential mode. This is combined with IsoTek's KERP© (Kirchhoff's Equal Resistance Path) to ensure equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets. The internal wiring is of a very high standard, a unique 2mmq design with 6n pure oxygen free copper conductor wires each silver plated, these offer low resistance and high amperage. An aerospace grade fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) dielectric, with very low dielectric strength, is used to protect the conductors as well as provide an ideal conductor contact dielectric for the internal fuel system.

Furthermore, in the new V5 version the instantaneous protection is increased to 45'000A, this not only protects the circuit but also safeguards your precious connected equipment via IsoTek's unique sequential and repeatable protection system.

The V5 Gemini also contains a System Link socket, designed to link multiple units together whilst maintaining a wye earth reference and preserving the need for multiple wall sockets.

A wall hanging bracket system is also included, allowing for easy mounting of the product behind the audio equipment rack if desired.
