Dynaudio Focus 50 are the top of the range complete floorstanding HiFi music system from the Focus family. They combine the extreme convenience of the most up-to-date streaming and wireless features with the prestigious audio technologies developed over four decades by the famous Danish brand.

With a wireless active speaker system, you will be able to obtain a very high level HiFi system with minimal space: all the electronics - without exception - are enclosed inside the cabinets. No more cables, electronics, HiFi racks... Everything will be more comfortable and easily integrated into your listening environment.

Imagine the possibilities of connecting directly from a single App to every single streaming service, Internet radio, TV, and why not, even your high-end turntable. It is an extremely versatile system with perfect connectivity: you can listen to what you want, when you want.

Focus speakers integrate the legendary technologies and drivers that have made Dynaudio an effective qualitative benchmark for lovers of High Fidelity. The famous MSP tweeters and woofers are here combined with the same amplifications used in Dynaudio professional studio monitors (used by many of the most famous mixing and music production studios in the world). Calibration in real environment: DSP – DIRAC

The sound performance of the Focus 50 is managed by the sophisticated DSP - Digital Signal Processing - technology of the same type used in professional studio lines. Using the App, calibrate the sound output of the speakers according to the actual position of the speakers in the real environment: for example near a wall, in a corner or in free space. You will thus be able to effectively refine the performance of the speakers by optimizing the listening performance for that specific position.

If you want to go further and want true professional calibration and top-level tuning, Dynaudio is the only one in the world that allows you to make the most of the most refined audio calibration technology in the world: Dirac Live. This allows you to get the perfect sound after performing automated room measurements. After having completely "understood" and analyzed the environment, Dirac acts on the frequencies and time delays caused by the reflections of the sound inside the room. The result – simply incredible for a private listening environment – is a digital correction specific to your real listening environment, which finally solves problems due to unfavorable room geometries. All without modifying structures or furnishings.

To grill or not to grill

The speakers also integrate equalization presets that take into account the presence or absence of the magnetic grille: the correction is made automatically once the grille is detected. The new “Y” shaped LED will indicate recalibration by flashing blue.

DSP: enormous power, under control

The power delivered to the drivers by professional-grade amplifiers is high. An automatic safety system intervenes to avoid damage to the speakers due to sustained volume levels and high-impact transients. Essentially, an intelligent filter reduces the excursion of the woofer as the volume increases, allowing perfect sound balance, in complete safety. So you can get deep bass at lower volumes.

And for cinema lovers? The Focus 50 system integrates Wisa streaming technology: the speakers can connect wirelessly to TVs and other compatible devices - and therefore to any other source connected to them - and reproduce extremely high quality audio. This active HiFi system is designed to take the place of entire AV systems and equipment, support racks and cumbersome cables, making your environment freer and tidier.

If you want a very high quality system, with few components, easy and quick to listen to, the Focus 50 floorstanding speakers are for you. Just connect them to the power socket, access the Dynaudio App and you're done.

Focus 50 guarantees 360° connectivity thanks to the built-in Hi End streamer: you can connect via Apple AirPlay 2 from your MacBook, iPad or iPhone; with Google Chromecast from Android devices or Chromebook; or directly using Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, as well as all the most popular streaming and Internet Radio platforms.

You can connect via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or Bluetooth. They also support Roon.

Not only that: Focus 30 can play any song stored in digital format, whether on a streaming platform or stored on a hard drive in the home network. You will thus have an infinite music library, accessible from any compatible device, smartphone, tablet or any storage device.

But you can also connect your sources via the inevitable physical connections: you can choose coaxial and optical digital inputs as well as analogue ones – to enjoy all your favorite CDs or vinyl records.

The sub output allows you to connect a Subwoofer to complete your system, such as the Dynaudio Sub 3.

And if you don't feel like using the Dynaudio App, you can directly use the Bluetooth remote control included among the accessories.

Pure Danish design

Danish design is characterized by elegant and clean lines, destined to last over time. From the brushed anodized aluminum rings around the drivers, to the tapered cabinet design, to the Dynaudio logo with an integrated LED that visually identifies the different speaker settings.

The strong point is its extreme compactness: all the electronics are enclosed inside the cabinet, so as to make it easily integrated into any type of environment. The cabinet has a solid structure with a contemporary design, indicating the care taken by the Dynaudio designers also in the aesthetics of the speakers. 4 finishes are available: gloss black, gloss white, light wood and walnut.

Acoustic qualities

The entire Focus family was tested with Jupiter, a highly technological system of 31 microphones installed on a robotic arm that measures the effective - real - performance of the speakers at 360°, not just in the sweet spot.

Focus 50 has more than 40 years of acoustic design experience behind its technology. They only require 2 power cables, one for each speaker; this is because all the amplification electronics are integrated into the cabinet. Each individual driver has its own specific amplification module to drive it, ensuring extraordinary control.

With a total of 3 amplifiers per speaker, each tailored to the drivers to be driven (110 W for the tweeter, 280 W for the midrange and 280 W for the two woofers, for a total of 670 W of power), Focus 50 is ready to add sound to any type of environment with a balanced sound output without compromises. The amplification modules – all class D – are made by Dynaudio's partners, Pascal Audio of Copenhagen, the same as Core's flagship professional studio monitors, from recording studios straight to your living room.

The closed-box MDF cabinet design allows us to take full advantage of the powerful amplification and DSP – digital signal processing – to deliver deep bass, an expressive midrange and brilliant highs.

The legendary Dynaudio drivers

The drivers are the ones that made Dynaudio legendary. First of all, a Cerotar soft dome tweeter, integrated with Hexis technology, designed for the Confidence line. This patent optimizes airflow and minimizes unwanted resonances. On the back, a system of Ferrite+ strontium carbonate magnets allows you to maximize sensitivity, thus attenuating the frequency response obtaining brighter, cleaner and more detailed tones.

Below the tweeter, the Esotec+ midrange driver dedicated to the mid range, derived from the award-winning Contour 60i, is made of MSP – Magnesium Silicate Polymer – a material developed, perfected and patented by Dynaudio over 4 decades. It is a 15cm driver with a powerful neodymium magnet, a fiberglass voice coil and aluminum baffle. This module uses lightweight magnets and specially chosen materials for greater speed while maintaining firm control over the mid frequencies.

The low frequencies are managed by 2 18 cm Esotec+ MSP woofers designed with the Confidence and Contour lines to offer deep and powerful bass. Unlike the other models in the Focus line, inside the Ferrite+ magnet there is a copper moving coil: this material is heavier than aluminum and therefore provides more moving mass, so as to dig deeper into the bass without interfering with mid tones.

The new surround and improved magnet system extend the frequency response further down, enhancing the stellar midrange performance.

They never get old

These speakers are digital and digital means they can be upgraded. We'll send periodic firmware updates, which will automatically download to your speaker (you can choose whether to install them or not, of course). This means we can enable new features, improve adjustments as we refine them, and much more. You can update your system without even touching it.
